It's a bright sunshiny day over a fresh layer of snow! This afternoon I'll try to open a hole to the air in the garden pond and hope my fish are still alive. I'm Barbara/Bink/dustbunny48. I'm 58 years old, live in Michigan with my two retired racing greyhounds and love my life!
Tell us your name, where you live and a little bit about yourself.

Hi Bink,
Yes, there are places where the daffodils are planted along the highway. It's fun to see them when they are all blooming. There are also many, many flowering trees and other varieties of bulbs that open one after another -- to me it is like fourth of July fireworks in flowers. It is a wonderful show. Thanks for asking, now I am looking foward to the renewal of spring!!!!
Warm regards,
peanuts
Greg and between the two of us we have six kids and
seven grandchildren, all living here in Hawaii : )
The youngest is nearly 3, so we've been hinting to
our kids that we'd love to have some new grandbabies,
LOL!

I knew that vocal chord dysfunction could produce a raspy sound, but I'd not really heard about the asthma type symptoms (then again, I'm still an under-grad). Did they do vocal excersizes with you to retrain how you utilize your vocal folds? I'm really glad to hear you've not had another "episode", but I think I'd kinda be irritated w/ whatever Dr. had you on all the medications for so long . . .
I do love "the feild" (so far) ~ A LOT to learn though!!! I hope to specialize in the "language" portion more than the "speech" end of it, as I most want to work with children w/in the autism spectrum.
Many Blessings, "M"
The therapist first taught me how to use my diaphragm to breathe and my mouth to resonate sound.
What a pretty Avatar!

You are right, I am a hospital nurse ;) I enjoy the work most of the time but there are some days it gets overwhelming!
I think volunteer work would be very rewarding, let us know if you try it out. I think you could handle it just fine.
