Praying for our adult children

I have a daughter who will turn 20 next month - I find myself praying for her constantly. I feel it is the only thing I can do for her now that she is grown. I see her making mistakes and I understand that it is a learning process. But I hate to see her not walking in faith and doing things that I beleive will cause her pain and suffering in time.

I was wondering if other parents would like to share prayers for their adult children on this thread. One of mine (at least the one that is appropriate for today)is below:

Dear Lord, thank you so much for blessing me with my sweet daughter. Please make your presence real to her so that she may return to walk in your word. Send Godly friends and role models to her and break any relationships that are not pleasing to you. Give her the tools to handle grief when a relationship is over and send new freinds right away that will immediately connect to my dd and speak the truth to her. Wrap your arms around her during this confussing transition into adulthood. Give her wisdom and discernment; courage and self-control. Help her to choose right over wrong. I pray that you will guide her to the mate that you have picked out for her to share her life with and that they will lived a blessed life serving you. Please clear any unhealthy or confusing thoughts from her mind and keep satan out of her mind. Protect her body from any disease and comfort her in times of heartache and despair. Lord, I glorify you for the wonders you do every moment of every day and I pray that you will hear my prayers. In Jesus name - Amen

I think prayer is a powerful tool. :)

I pray every day in front of my altar to the Goddess and God, for my DD's safety, protection, and any challenges I know she may be having. My DD is 26 and lives on her own, working and going to school. My prayers change by the day and the need, for all my loved ones. Mostly I don't ask for specifics because I believe my Goddess knows what each person needs best so I just ask her to handle the nitty gritty details. :P
