Hi Everyone!

I'm new here, but I am searching for something. I used to be a very spiritual person, but lately, I have lost faith and have became very skeptical. What sucks is, when I believed, I was so much more positive, Now, I have started questioning everything to the point that I discredit myself. I want to get back to where I was and I believe if I start talking to equal minded people, I could get there. I am not one particular religion, but have a belief in different aspects of all religions.

Have any of you faltered from what you believe and how did you get back on the right path again?

Thanks for your time!

Been there.

As I get older I have to say that mood is important.

I have to remind myself to put music on, relax, drink a glass of red wine, read, etc.

Personally I love nature photography, so I think it's one of those things that starts to bring out the spiritual in me.

Also I have to remind myself that when I was younger I was probably more light hearted about spirituality. It was sometimes just "for fun". I use http://www.ifate.com sometimes when I'm at work, and I have to say it falls somewhere between spiritual and pure entertainment.

I'm not religious in general -- but I do find that the "spiritual emotion" still runs strong in me. Although it can take a bit more to get it going than it did.

Instead of saying "it's gone" or your "not feeling spiritual", I'd try things like music, art -- even silence. I'm sure it's there. I just think as we get older the real world can sometimes crowd out the spiritual.

Many people find that their faith and religion can wane at times.

I believe anyone who strays from his own religion will feel like you.

Dear Gal-

Having a difficult morning myself so i thought i would try to help someone else. One of the things i have noticed about losing faith at times is that eventually my faith returns. It's almost like a cyclical thing - things get tough, or we just dont care about faith... if you have some one/thing which you used to believe in, hold on to that through the times when faith isnt there. It's like smiling. Do it even when u dont feel like it and eventually you'll feel happier. Faith comes back-its not a feeling-its revealed in how we live. So if you want faith to 'return', pretend it never left. Seriously.

i dont feel obligated to share the complexities of my beliefs/life philosophy with anyone, but

Hey,

I have definitely been there.

I grew up in a Lutheran Church; very stuffy, very boring, very traditional.
