QOTW is baaack!!!

Hi All,
Well as some of you who've been around the board for awhile have probably already figured out, I stopped the QOTW for awhile because it seemed people weren't really responding to it and so I gave us all a break--lol! I've been thinking of starting it up again and seeing how people like it and so that is what is going to happen starting today. For you "newbies", basically I will post a question (or several questions in the same post) for people who WANT to, to answer so we can all get to know each other a bit better and also, perhaps generate some good discussions on topics of interest. No real rules, answer if you want to, ignore it if you don't--lol, and the usual TOS rules regarding no personal attacks, etc. The questions may or may not be related to each other so here goes!
1. Name one thing good that you have done for yourself this week.
2. Name one thing good that you've done for someone else this week.
3. Name one thing about yourself that you like.
4. Name one thing about yourself that you dislike.
5. Name one thing about summer that you enjoy!
Here's my answers......
1. I took myself and my partner to a nice Chinese restaurant for supper last night!
2. I donated some magazines to someone who enjoys reading them but can't buy them too often herself.
3. I like that I have a caring nature.
4. I dislike my weight.
5. I love going to the ocean in the summer! Can't wait!

1. Name one thing good that you have done for yourself this week. I stuck with my diet & exercise program even though I had some emotional setbacks with my teen dd.
2. Name one thing good that you've done for someone else this week.I sent a graduation card to a former co-worker. Not all that much, I know. But she, like me, is 52 years old. She just finished college & received her RN. I wrote to let her know how much I admired her for that. She beat ca. & her dh is fighting it now. She's raising her grandkids. OMG! Talk about adversity!
3. Name one thing about yourself that you like.My resiliency. I could've given up & given in a long time ago:)
4. Name one thing about yourself that you dislike. My weight. UGH!
5. Name one thing about summer that you enjoy!There are so many. I like the warmth, the lower gas bills, the ability to get outdoors more & my garden.
1. One good thing I did for myself this week,,,bought 2 new summer purses (one for my daughter) and some summer sandals that I liked.
2. For someone else,,,hopefully was nice to my kids enough for them.
3. One thing about me I like????? hard one,,,I really don't know.
4. One thing about me I don't like is my lousy way of coping with things.
5. Summer,,,,I love everything about it,,,,especially the heat.

I bought myself a gourmet hot chocolate regardless of the price or calories, just because I like it and deserve to have the things I like once in awhile (I can say that all I want, but deep down it's still hard to believe)

I took care of my friend's 2 month old so she and her SO could go fishing.

My caring nature

August thunderstorms (and stargazing if I ever get the chance to camp)
1. Name one thing good that you have done for yourself this week: I bought me new clothes and just relaxed a bit
2. Name one thing good that you've done for someone else this week: I went to my neices grad. party and baby sat for our friend today for free.
3. Name one thing about yourself that you like: My love for God
4. Name one thing about yourself that you dislike: My weight
5. Name one thing about summer that you enjoy!: going on vacation and enjoying the hot sun and spending time with my kids outside.
