I have a question that's kind of a thought exercise. What would it take to make you want to live? For this question, please set aside mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, etc., because those things are pretty much there to stay for most of us. But of the things that can change, what kind of situation would make you want to live?

My answer:
1. If I got an interesting job with variety that pays enough to support myself.
2. If my marraige is reasonably healthy, close, and happy.
3. If I had at least one friend, who undestands me and accepts me as I am.
4. If I didn't have to worry about finances anymore.

Lori,

Thanks. I'm glad you liked my comments about introverts. I really feel that as an introvert, we're minorities, we get discriminated against in jobs and other ways, but we have no legal protection. It is an extrovert's world. I don't want to live my life pretending to be someone I'm not, but often it seems a choice between that and failing to fit in with society in any way. It's exhausting to fake it, but if you don't you won't get a job, won't get accepted, etc. I hope one day there is legal protection for this silent minority, but that's not likely becuase we're not a glamourous group that people care about.
