Hi All,

Here's this week's mix of questions....

 1. Do you celebrate on New Year's Eve? If so, how?

 2. What about New Year's resolutions? Do you make any? Share if you wish!

 3. On a scale of 1 to 10....one being worst you can remember, 10 being best, how would you personally rate 2005?

I'll be back later and give you my answers! Hugs, Lori

1. New Year's Eve-
We went to dinner at an Indian restaurant and played Scrabble.

2. New Year's resolutions-
I never make any.

3. On a scale of 1 to 10..one being worst, how would you rate 2005?

In 2005, I turned 26 years old. My husband and I celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary.

There were two deaths in my family, my grandma and my uncle. My grandma died of heart and kidney failure and my uncle, who was less than fifty years old, died of a mysterious illness that the doctors couldn't figure out. I moved twice, starting the year in Pennsylvania and ending it in Massachusetts. On the positive side, I learned to drive and got a car. Overall, the theme of 2005 in my life was "stuck in a rut".

This was a great question Lori because it made me think about the year and I realized that a lot more happened last year than I thought. I'd rate 2005 about a 5 or 6.

Okay, back to answer my own questions--lol!

1. This year I didn't celebrate. Instead spent a quiet evening at home. When I was younger I was the one who got "stuck" watching my younger siblings while our parents went out to celebrate and then the past two or three years, my partner and I would usually go out to dinner and then the casino if I happened to be visiting there in Canada. The year 2004 came in with a bang. That year on New Year's Day I ended up in a Canadian hospital E.R. being diagnosed with pneumonia, bronchitis and a middle ear infection. It was NOT a good way to start the coming year!

2. I used to make them---more because it seemed "the thing to do" than any other reason. But I don't make them now because I figure we don't need a "new year" to make positive changes in our lives--anytime will do, as long as we are ready--and THAT, I believe, is the key!

3. Like bluerains, this part of my question gave me some "food for thought." Looking back and reviewing some of the significant moments/times of this past year I'd say it's in the 7-8 range. I think that is because my partner and I got to spend more time together than in any other time since our relationship began in 2002! (Man, this long distance stuff can be tough sometimes--lol!)

Anyway, that's about it for now. Have a good day all. Hugs, Lori
