--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I haven't forgotten about you all, no no no. I just haven't been on the computer for quite a few days. I have been enjoying my family more, things seem to be going rather smoothly, and I have been really working hard on fighting the PMDD this month, and I'm really proud of myself! Everything seems to be slowly going UP for me... slowly, but surely. I'm soooooo happy. Naturally, I fall sometimes, but not as much as I have in the past!

My discharge date for the IOP is this Wednesday, which is my b-day. I'm kind of nervous, not really feeling 100% ready for the transition. But I'm going to manage it, somehow.

Vilija came to IOP with me on Friday, but couldn't go to group with me (I guess my clinician was concerned about V telling everyone our secrets... LOL!)... so I put her in a little playroom and I didn't stay the whole time. Anyway... my group friends met Vilija and all fell in love with her. And, get this. The guy I ran into in the elevator a few days ago, the one who called Vilija very beautiful, the one who was born with a cleft lip/palate... HE was there, his wife was having an u/s, they are expecting a second child. So, I met his wife and his mom, and it was a really sweet and tearful meeting. His mom was soooooooooooo wonderful, knew exactly what I'm going through, she hugged me quite a few times and they were all so compassionate. It just melted my heart. What a small world to run into him again. We exchanged phone numbers and email addresses. They live across the river from us, just about 15 minutes away. I have to set up a date with them so that we can all get together!

Anyway... The weekend was full of fun, on Friday Vilija and I surprised Alan and Andrius by showing up at hockey practice. We ended up going out for dinner after that, and then went to my parents' for a while. Yesterday we were out all day, pretty much, went out for breakfast and dinner (Alan had the waitress bring a piece of their awesome chocolate cake ... YUMMY, not really sweet, just PERFECT... and she had a lit candle in it and they sang happy b-day to me). It was a wonderful day. I was loving every minute of it!

I can honestly say that, b/c of the IOP and my working on the skills, I really have changed! OMG.

My niece called this morning, she has her wedding photo proofs, so I drove over in my pj's (she lives with MIL, in my neighborhood... like, a minute or two away) and we gabbed and looked at pics. They are beautiful!

Gotta go...
Love to all, prayers to those who need them... and HUGS to everyone.

Lori, THANK YOU SO MUCH, your post has me in tears... happy ones. :) I can't believe how far I've come. It's almost scary to me, actually. I can't explain why. I guess I'm afraid... no, actually terrified, of the next fall. But I know what to do and where to come for help when I do.

Have I ever showed off pics of my kids? I don't think so. Here are Andrius (6 1/2) and Vilija (3 1/2)... and, speaking of Vilija, I think that that guy IS a guardian angel. :)

Okay, I think that's enough for now. :)

Again, thank you so very much. Oh, and Bruce emailed me back, saying "That's great! Keep up the good work!"

I feel soooooooooooooooooooooo proud of myself.

Okay, who's in tears now? LOL!!! Your kids are beautiful, Vida! Vilija has come sooooo far, hasn't she? (Like her Mommy! ;) ) It is clear your children are close and that big brother is very protective and loving with his little sis. You must be so proud! That little girl has angels all around her....that picture of her with her surgeon is one I am sure she will one day cherish!
