a little update

Hi everyone! Hope you still remember me! This is Rosaura. The reason why I have not been posting for a while is a nasty virus that disabled my PC. I have been on line since but didn't trust a public computer to write on such personal issues. Anyhow, although my situation is not really different I am coping better now. Therapy has helped me so much and I am doing anything humanly possible to move far far away after the holidays. I know I can not possibly be happy living here so all I can do is be patient and wait. Also, I have taken the initiative along with another female lawyer to found a non profit female attorneys network offering free emergency legal advice to women in need (and believe me there are many over here and resources for them are apallingly abscent and attitudes are just terrible) and also to promote female issues and try to educate and inform as many people as possible through publications and rallys. So far we are only just in the begining. There is a brand new Bill for domestic violence and job one will be to analyse it thoroughly and understand it ourselves before we can begin to make other people understand their rights. There is a lot to be done, but maybe, just maybe there will be someone out there we will manage to help. Just one woman helped will be enough of a reward plus my colleague will keep it going after I am gone. So, I just wanted to let everyone know I am still here, thinking about you all very often. I will try to be around as I still have a lot of work to do on my own personal demons, but anyway, not so long ago things were so hopeless and all days were bad. Now all I have to do is wait until I actually have some good ones and that is a change!
So, hope everyone is doing alright, stay strong and remember I am thinking about you guys loads. Hope I can be on line more...
A big hug for all you very special ladies
Talk to you soon.

Hi Rosaura!

It's great to see you again. That is so amazing that you're starting a nonprofit network to help women. I'm so proud of you!

I'm also glad that you're planning to move somewhere better. It sounds like you'll be really busy for the next few months, getting so much done.

I've been thinking of you and it's great to hear such a good update.

Blue!!!! Lori!!!!! It is wonderful to hear from you guys again! I really have missed you both and have thought about you frequently! I consider both of you dear friends and I think I was pretty lucky to stumble upon these boards when I was in such a sorry state. As I said, things are not much different. The stressful situation is the same and I hate living here as much as I always did, but I am little different now. I am not as miserable as before and doing something to help other people makes me feel soooo good. Like my being here (not for too long - hopefully can move out as soon as January) is not a total waste of my life and when I go I will leave something really nice behind, something that will continue to exist! Anyway, I will try to be online a bit more often and catch up with what has been going on with you guys. I hope all of us will eventually be pulled out in the light and stay there!!!!!!
Got to go now,
Love ya guys loads
Talk to you soon

Rosaura,

I've thought of you too and hoped to hear from you again! I was really happy to come and see an update from you.

It would be great if you could move by the New Year. New year, new country, new home. But I'm really impressed by what you're doing with your nonprofit.... You're really doing something special. Just the fact that you're putting your dreams into action is very inspiring.
