Request for prayers

I got into a bad car accident last Wednesday. I got hit directly on the driver's side door by an SUV truck.

Everthing is a mess but I"m most concerned about long term injuries. I'm in a lot of pain right now and would appreciate any prayers that I won't have long term health problems from this.

He hit me directly on the driver's side door. (I was driving.) It was the most terrifying moment of my life. Seeing that truck coming right at me and there was nothing I could do.

The other driver is fine as far as I know, he was in an SUV truck. I was in a small compact car.

"I understand your fear. to this day i still can't put my face in the water in a pool or swim underwater. i don't know if i ever will be. those terrors are real and the sooner your dh realises it the sooner he can help you."

Thanks for your support Libby. I am starting to feel better but when I drive in the back of my mind I'm still worried and afraid.

I'm going to bring my car to the repair shop the Monday after Thanksgiving. I think I'll feel better once I can actually open my car door on the driver's side instead of climbing in through the passenger seat. I'll feel better when they fix the car and I don't have to look at the smashed in doors anymore to keep reminding me of the accident.

Lori,

That does not sound fun! I think seeing staples in my skin would bother me too. Try not to look at it unless you have to.

I hope you feel better by Thanksgiving. It's too bad you got an infection and a temperature. I didn't post this before, but I'm kind of annoyed at the nurse who let you go home right after surgery. She should know that all patients feel that way but they will regret it! She should have warned you about the painkillers wearing off and the hospital bed, etc.

But I'm sure she meant well. Still, I wish you had a better experience than all of this. Get well soon!!!!
