If you are in danger, please call 911 immediately.
Calling a hotline number is scary, but there are times in our lives when we must transcend our fears. If you are feeling unsafe or in danger, please call a crisis number. There is help out there, but the first step is ours to take. No one can help us if we don't tell them that we need help.
Reaching out and asking for help is not a sign of weakness. It's a sign of strength and courage, because it takes both to go to the phone, dial a number and talk to someone.
Please take care of yourself.

If you live elsewhere in the world, please look the the white pages or in the yellow pages. They will list hotline numbers at the beginning of the telephone book.
You can also go to the Befriender's website to look up a local crisis number.
We are also here to listen to you and to give you support, but as this is an online support group, it might take a few hours to a whole day for you to get a response from us, especially on the week-ends. Please prioritize your safety, and talk to someone near you, or a hotline number, too.
Sometimes what we need is to talk. What we need is to have someone listen and hear us. What we need is for someone to say, "I understand exactly what you are talking about and what you are going through". What we need are unconditional hugs of support. There is a lot of support and help for you, but you have to be the one who takes the first step. If we don't tell those who love us that we are hurting, or that we are depressed, they can't help us. The thought of telling or talking to someone is a lot more scarier than the actual act of it. I know.
You are precious, and we care a lot about you.
