When Posts are Removed........
Mon, 02-05-2007 - 4:38pm

Posts may be removed for several reasons, the most common being that the post has violated iVillage's Terms of Service:

http://www.ivillage.com/help/tos.html

We give wide-latitude to the Terms of Service in Health, understanding that the need to vent may be an important part of the healing process.  However, posts that attack, are vulgar, are disruptive, that graphically discuss ways of self-harm, that bring problems raised on other boards to this board, or clearly violate TOS will be removed.  Removed posts MAY result in the loss of your membership -- please think twice before you post!

A few more notes:

1) Neither community leaders nor our members make a decision as to whether posts are removed. Only staff can make these decisions & have the ability to remove posts.

2) Any member can report a questionable post using the "Report a Violation" link to the right of each post. If you're not logged in when you report it, we have no way of knowing who reported it. Many of you report inappropriate posts and we thank you for working hard to keep our community safe. We will never divulge who's reported a possible violation and we appreciate being notified of any posts that concern you - they concern us, too.

3) It is a violation of our confidentiality rules for us to discuss a removed post.

4) If you'd like to report a post that's a concern, or discuss the board, or say hello :), or make suggestions, please email me at cklein@mail.ivillage.com or my assistant, kmccollum@mail.ivillage.com We appreciate each of you  :)
