So how many of us are stuck in the blizzard?

We have a huge storm. I went to work today and it was so scary driving! My car got stuck so many times, while trying to leave the parking lot and also while parking again at home. I had to keep getting out and moving snow away from the wheels.

I had big plans for Valentine's Day and had to cancel because it's not safe to drive tonight. I'm really disappointed!

Stay safe everyone!

Our storm started on Tues afternoon and made up home bound for Valentines day. It was a little romantic. We started a fire in the fireplace in the afternoon. Had breakfast for dinner along with a glass of Mimossa. It was nice to spend Valentines day snowed in.

Emotionally it was nice to have my DH working from home and keeping me company. We got 19" of snow. And some very large snow drifts. So we had to do some shoveling. DH tried to take me to my dr appt. and we live on a dead end street which was not plowed and we got out of our driveway but got stuck in the road. That was interesting. I finally convinced him to push the car while I drive. So instead of me getting out of the car and going around to get in on the drivers side I ended up...Oh my I can't help but laugh.. I thought I could just slide over to the drivers seat. Do so easy when there is a center console. I was straddling the center console - using my left foot to push the petal- now this is the really fun part. The gear shift is in the console. So here I am shifting from drive to reverse as I am straddling where the gear shift is. After we got the car unstuck and back in the driveway we both laughed so hard.

Same here. we got a lot of icy yesterday morning so when i finally drove home about 2 o'clock the roads weren't too bad but i couln't get my car into the drive way. i had to keep trying to get arunning start so to speak. i ended up backing it in at a running start because my back tires are really bad and i got more support from the front tires. i was supposed to have my tires changed this week but that got put on hold.

and to make matters worse the schools are closed AGAIN today so i've been home listening to snide comments and rude remarks from my teens. i'm definitly close to hitting the edge right now. i spent most of yesterday an lastnight just crying becuse when i came home the sink and kitchen was filled with dirty dishes it took me 2 loads in the dish washer and an hour to wash the rest by hand. then i went into the kids bathroom and well lets just say that i could have called the show from how clean i your house and they would be disgusted out so i spent over an hour in there scrubbing the tub the sink and the toilet not to mention the floors! I was caughing so bad i thought i'd puke i'm not supposed to be around those cleaners but well no one else will do it!

The snow stopped at 6am today but it looks like more is coming next week.

It's really beautiful- except for the cabin fever, trapped in the house feeling. Maybe we should all get some snowshoes, LOL.

With the tall drifts we could go sledding too. Then make snow angels. Followed by a warm drink by a fireplace. Who is up for it!

Oh the best hot chocolate is one with a shot of peppermint schnapps in it. If you have not tried it you are missing out on something good!
