Had a good day

Today I helped my nephew out. He and his wife were in need of a sitter for their two girls. They are 1 year old and 8 year old. We had a good day. It was nice to take care of someone else who needs me. It just makes me feel like a child again. Spending the morning watching cartoons - boy have cartoons changed - Who are the Doodle Boops?
It was enlighting to kind of being a child myself. Playing toys with them, watching TV, and thinking about my childhood.
They were both good behaved and were no trouble at all. Their dad came home earlier than expected so I got relieved of my duties and thought now what do I do. The sun was shinning yet it was still bitterly cold but tolerable. I stopped off at the drug store and browsed through the 50% of Valentines day stuff. Only to see on the next shelf they had begun putting out the Easter stuff and flower seed packets. So is this a sign that spring is approching.
I am just rattleing on sorry to talk your ear off but wanted to share my good day since they are few an far between.

I'm glad you had fun babysitting! I agree that cartoons are different now.

I used to like the Smurfs and Thundercats when I was a kid. Cartoons used to have more imagination and an actual storyline. Now they seem to be just weird people singing corny songs (for the younger kids). Or, they're about weird people being as violent and gross as possible (for the older kids).

Although, I have seen some Land Before Time movies on tv and they are really good cartoons.

Ohhhh, I love those shows! Remember all those "oldies but goodies?" Shows like: Laverne and Shirley, The Waltons, Sanford and Son, All in the Family, Bewitched, etc? I had to laugh at some of those cartoon shows you mentioned--I've never even HEARD of them--lol! Hugs, Lori
