i haven't posted here in a couple of months i think. i put myself in the hospital in january so i wouldn't attempt suicide. stayed for about a week, got a new diagnosis from the impatient psych. saw my old psych and got a newer diagnosis, not bipolar, just major depression. got new meds. i am doing all the things i was told to do to make me feel better. taking my meds as directed, getting out of the house, even got a job believe it or not, working out, meeting new people, not drinking, except for tonight, and i still have suicidal thoughts. so if doing everything right still makes me feel wrong, then what? what is left? i've been holding on and waiting to feel better for sometime now and i feel i am out of waiting time? i can't hold on forever.

Hi Susan,
I'm sorry you are still feeling this way. I also feel that just correcting my circumstances would not improve my frame of mind. I told the woman at the agency for those under psychiatric care that my ideal career would not be within the limits of the possible :(
It represents a considerable breakthrough that you have made so many innovations in your lifestyle though. Perhaps continuing the good work and feeling long term benefits of the medication will make you better in the long run? Medications certainly can take a long time to work as they should.

How's it going Susan? Are you feeling any better?
What intrigued me about your post, was that you ARE doing everything within your power to get well & feel better. I have been in your situation & questioned if I would ever reach a better place. For me it was a long, hard journey. It didn't happen overnight. In fact,
