... and where do you go?
I think my depresion is getting worse. I have got to the point where I can't deal with daily life. I don't want to admit myself to a hospital because I have no one to take care of my son. I have given up on meds (don't seem to help and can't really afford them) and I think my counselor is blind. She thinks I am doing so great and I just feel like screaming "WAKE UP AND HELP ME"!

Hi and welcome to the board (Sorry--can't remember offhand if you've posted here before or not but wanted to welcome you either way!)
I'm sorry things are so hard for you right now--and I'm glad you are at least reaching out here because often that can be
Hi! Nice to see you, although I wish it was under better circumstances):
For me, I know I need help for my depression when I have more bad days than good. When I can no longer see hope or a vision
Honestly, it sounds like you need a new therapist! RIGHT AWAY!! You should talk to your general doctor, as s/he may be able to suggest a good councelor in your area. Also, it's always helped me to write down thoughts feelings (good and bad) on a piece of paper. When I'm angry, I like to do this and did this quite often when I was young. When it was all said and done, I scribble over the words and rip up the paper, and I feel a lot better. I've delt with depression for quite some time, and took a while for the right combo of meds and therapy to get well.
Take care of yourself, and keep in touch!
