Good morning!

Well I started up my therapy with a new therapist, Gina.  Anywho, she is about my age (maybe a bit older) and I felt a real connection with her.  She seems real genuine.  Her office is maybe 5 minutes from the house.  WOOHOOO!

Anywho, the session.....   I unloaded a truckload of frustrations onto her.  I discussed my depression and how I am really scared of my lows at times.  I dont get the highs/lows a lot but when I do, it is usually one extreme to the other.  I also talked about my adaption with dh and how I am NOW having a difficulty in it after 8/9 months after the wedding.  She wants dh to come in so she can get his take on it but that may/may not happen later.  I honestly think he wont do it since he thinks of it as a sign of weakness.  Whatever!  Some men do not get therapy.  Talking to someone is not a weakness.

She gave me an assignment until the next time I see her (after the holidays).. to try to communicate with dh when I feel frustrated with him.  It is hard but I am going to try.  I think we may have our talk session tonight to help me pull out of my "safety zone".

Good for you, Darla. I know it sounds kinda *trite* but making lemons out of lemonade is still DOING something! It's that *stuck in a rut* same old, same old that keeps us in our CZ & NOT progressing. I would rather try & fail, than not trying & living w/regrets.

Hope the session goes well. As for those almighty fence posts, before you get rooked into another all 'nighter, I would get the

Well, I found out that if I made small random acts of kindness, it does go down to a trickle effect.

I'm so glad that the kindness you showed was returned by dh--and can't wait to hear (IF you wanna share that is--lol!) what plans he has up his sleeve for your anniversary! Hugs, Lori

I am looking forward to that weekend now... I did a virtual search in my closet and found a 2-pc skirt/halter top I can wear.

Thanks Rosy-girl!

Believe me, I do count my blessing but working with a man is not easy.

Hey Darla! Tonight sounds promising!!!! Not venting, instead trying to comprehend what lies behind your actions....sounds great. If you manage to understand yourself you are half way there. How is it going? Looks like things are going better for you and your husband. I can see you have not been married that long and the transition is always difficult. He comes from a completely different path of life than yours and if you understand that and reach out to each other, maybe create some kind of code :-) the rest of the path together will be easy and filled with nice surprises. And this Gina person sounds amazing. I can see she is very good for you. Congratulations and keep up the good work!
