I'm a 30yr old female. My brother commited suicide. It will be two years in August. He was married with two little girls 4yrsold and 5yrs old,and a baby on the way.My brother owned his own buisness. He took his family camping and on vacations. He had us all thinking every thing was fine. When infact his buisness wasn't going good.

Hello! I am very sorry to hear this. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy in the passing of your brother. From what I have experienced, suicide leaves the survivors wondering how this happened. What they could have done to prevent it? There is plenty of guilt & shame to go around & it is needless on the part of the survivors. Chances are good, that you didn't know how your db was suffering & he did not make an identifiable plea for help that you could answer. But, that is difficult to accept when a suicide happens.
If you are still struggling, a grief support group may help you find some answers. It may help you find a little bit of peace. Many times the survivors don't find the actual closure they seek, but with the passing of time, they learn to cope better & move on with life. iVillage provides alot of support on the Bereavement & Healing Board: http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-bhgrief
