Worse????

I know that I have depression and depressive symptoms all month long.......

But, I noticed that they are "heightened" right before my period when I am pmsing....

I never had pms until my early 30's and didn't really recognize what it was....

I have noticed that I am unexplainably "angry" right now and noone has done anything....

But I am one week out from "Flo coming to town"......

Is it just me??

This is a *biggie* over on the anxiety board. It does seem that anxiety/depression symptoms intensify w/hormonal fluctuations. I am very aware of being *teary* the first few days of my period. Since I have *aged* & can no longer count the days for my period to start, I keep track of it by my anxiety. I am guaranteed to have an out of the blue panic attack, about a week before.

There are certainly *real* disorders now recognized in women. (Anger is one of the symptoms.) Those being PMS & PMDD. Here is the link to their board if you need more info: http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-bhpms
