well tomorrow school starts for my kids and to be honest I am having mixed feelings I have been the one to do their education for 4 years and I am giving that up and it is real hard for me, but on the other hand I know that they will learn more from someone else and that they will actually have friends, I am going to miss them and believe it or not I am going to miss the noise. We met the teachers last night and I liked them and feel good about them, I dont know what I am going to do with my time now that they are going to be away all day. I dont drive and I have a real hard time leaving the house especially when I am alone. I am afraid that my depression will kick in again and I will become suicidal and in the past I didnt act on it as much as I could have bc my kids were here but now I am going to be here all alone dont know what I am going to do really, luckily I have an appt tomorrow with my T so that is going to help me out a lot.

Found out that my 5 yr old has elevated lead levels so I am real worried, so we have to do blood levels every 3 months until it goes down and to be honest I am not sure where he got it from I have checked all of his toys and none of them are the ones that are recalled, I dont know where he got it from and not sure if we are ever going to find out where he got it from.

Hi Mary,
Hope your day is going okay for you and your kids. I just sent 5 of my little ones off today also and am feeling a little stressed about it. 2 of the kids couldn't wait to go while 2 others were dreading it. My 6yo went to kindergarten. He is severely handicapped and is being mainstreamed into a regular classroom. I worry alot about kids making fun or ridiculing him because he can't walk or talk. I know how cruel kids can be. Because he is deaf, sometimes he makes quite a bit without realizing it, I hope he's not to disruptive to the classroom. I do have a great deal of confidence in our school system especially the special ed department. I trust they will help me to make good decisions regarding all of my kids.

I too am home now with just my baby and have time on my hands. This can either be a really bad thing or a really good thing. I choose to make it a good thing. Now that the kids are in school it is a great time to exercise. I do alot of running with baby in her stroller. You could bike or walk or even just work out in your home. Exercise helps to feel really positive about yourself. I'm also going to get into some deep cleaning. A clean house, clean windows, clean closets etc. make me feel so accomplished. While I clean I'm going to listen to the sort of music I like rather than the stuff my kids like. I'm also going to do alot of baking the kids love to come home to the smell of fresh baked cookies and bread. It's important to find something that makes us feel good.

Maybe tomorrow you can make a list of things you have wanted to do but haven't had time for.

I'll be thinking of you and hope all is well.

yea it is really different for me I have even heard the word mom today lol while it was just me here yes I am hearing things, lol. I kow this is the best thing for them and for me so I am only going to take it 1 minute at a time and so far I have gotten a lot accomplished in the house have got most of my stuff done that I wanted to get done b4 I have my appt with my T.

I know kids can be so cruel my oldest sone stutters and when he was in school kids picked on him so I pulled him out and did home school and this is the 1st yr in about 4 yrs since he has been back in public school. Your ds will do fine so wat if he disrupts the class they will all get use to it and who knows he may even make friends, just let him know that he is special and a gift from God above.

My plan is to exercise starting next week that way I have a few days to get my house back to the way I like it, plan on running for about an hour then comming home and riding my stationary bike for about an hour. well keep us updated on how their day went. good luck

we live in a very old house it was built in 1850 but the plumbing has been redone and is PVC, and the docs arent sure where he got into lead bc none of the rest of us have it and I thought for sure my 9 yro would have had it bc he has PICA but he doesnt, I guess we will never know where he got it from and as long as it goes down and no one else gets it then it is ok I guess, I am just going to leave it up to God.

I am going to go to the web dite as soon as I can get my kids to bed tonight if we can get their homework done, Thanks for letting me know about it
