To help us get to know each other and help me find you information you can really use, please tell me: what topics first brought you to IVillage? Did you come here from Parent Soup or were you connecting to other working women or were you discussing politics? Were you talking to others about medical issues like I was? What topics here interest you?
What topics related to vegetarianism interest you and what would you like to talk or learn about? What issues (animal rights, nutrition, etc) are important to you? What do you want from this board?

People saying you look healthy doesn't men your symptoms aren't valid. Just because some physician didn't listen doesn't mean it's all in your head. Just because there is no definitive test yet doesn't mean the disease doesn't exist. You know you body- trust yourself!

what topics first brought you to IVillage? i was looking for a message board to talk about yoga. ivillage was one of the first active yoga boards.
What topics here interest you? i mostly frequent the yoga board, sometimes other fitness-related boards. occassionally i hit a pregnancy related board because i'm interested in unassisted childbirth.

this i don't really know. i'm active on another vegetarian message board and we talk about all sorts of topics. i just pop by now and again when that board or the yoga board is particularly slow. i'm open to talking about everything.

Welcome, Kristin!
I'm glad you found us and hope that you like it here! You might look at the protien info I posted, and look at the meatless "meats" (soy based equivelents of meats like chicken, lunch meats, and so on) as easy meals, as well as veggie burgers. Now, I find them so close to the originals that I can't eat them and my father finds them not close enough, but many people like them. You will be eating a diet that will promote animals' welfare and will help the environment- and
Hi Jaseann:)
Thanks for the welcome. Don't worry...I am rarely at a loss for words...or questions. LOL I am allergic to about everything under the sun...including many foods and chemical additives. I have tried some of the veggie meat substitutes...I am kind of like you, the texture is pretty close to meat, but some are not that bad. I do have an off topic question for you...I noticed you are cl on the celiac disease board. What exactly in that? I have heard it a few times lately and am not sure what it is. Is it a kind of digestive disorder? Just wondering:) I will return tomorrow and post. I have been doing stuff on this computer, for my job, all weekend...I am wiped out!
