I'm just wondering if this is the extent of us that visit this board, or is there anyone else out there who prefers to read more than post?  If so, would you like to introduce yourself?  We did a thread like this one another board I am on (my playgroup) and I was amazed by how many members mostly just read but did not post.  It was so nice to get to know everyone = )

I am pretty new here, I have kept up on the board since spring but did not post much.  I was kind of shy and did not want to intrude I guess, but then I decided to just hop right in and I'm glad I did = )  I have felt very welcome!  SO thanks everyone!

Anyone else out there like me?? = )

Hi Emily:)

As You know, I am new here. I haven't really posted much because I am still such a newbie. I read up daily. I guess because I am such a work in progress I am not sure how much I can really contribute...lol. Even Long-winded Kristin is at a loss for words sometimes. I will be posting more. I am really looking into all the health benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle. It is the focus in my life right now. It amazes me the amount of people who lurk on some of the boards I visit. This just tells you how many people are curious...very cool. Come on in everyone!!!!

Hi Lily,

Don't feel you have to be an "expert" to respond, a lot of info is from personal experience and if you've been a vegetarian for 9 years, I'm sure you've learned a lot along the way.

Hi hi -

I'm a 36yr old mom of 3. Very recently turned vegetarian - or semi-vege, I still eat fish and dairy on occasion. I'm not going to overtly convert my 3 dd's, but I do hope to lead by example. I love this board and the ideas that are presented! All the links and awesome info have been incredibly helpful. Just to offer one example, I do lots of craftsy things w/ the kids and am making little considerations such as hemp over leather when making jewelry. I know it sounds basic to many readers here, but before, I would have never really considered the ramifications of a simple craft had I not read how vegetarian can extend to everything including materials we use in everyday life. Anyway, thanks to all for your guidance/advice/shared experiences!

Hi Alley,

You have a wonderful chance to introduce your dd to meat alternatives without telling them not to eat meat.
