So many new folks have come out of lurking. It's wonderful to here from all of you!
It doesn't matter if you feel that you don't know all that much. Even if you aren't a wellspring of facts about animal rights, nutrition, factory farms, whatever- you can tell us how you deal with the carnivores who bother us, what you eat for lunch or when you are out with friends, or even about the pets who you respect and love. Did you know that the formal work for parakeet, budgerigar, translates as "pretty good eating"? I cannot imagine how my parents, aunt, and uncle can spend time whistling and sweet talking to them and then sit down to a turkey dinner every Thanksgiving. I know little about factory farming, am lost when it comes to figuring out what products are really cruelty-free (I've been given a link to PETA but can't seem to find info there), and so on. Most of what I know about animal rights comes from occasionally watching Animal Planet's Animal Cops. I have done a lot of looking into nutrition, because of my health issues and living with a biochemist who was the most overprotective parent in the school. But even a person who just eats as well as they can because they believe that it is important to save animals can give support, validation, and suggestions for a good meal.
Please introduce yourself- the post "How many of us are there?" is a good place.
I have been enjoying all of the conversations and love that so many of you have decided to join us. Please continue! And if you've been posting at least a few times a week for at least 4 to 6 weeks and feel that this board is valuable, you have all the requirements to join me as co-CL. It is rewarding, believe me! But even if you don't want to make that commitment, please keep coming and joining in!

People saying you look healthy doesn't men your symptoms aren't valid. Just because some physician didn't listen doesn't mean it's all in your head. Just because there is no definitive test yet doesn't mean the disease doesn't exist. You know you body- trust yourself!

Hi Jaseann, Thanks for the welcome!
