Hi All!

Happy New Year!

Quick question, I went vegetarian this past June. The one major thing I've noticed, other than basically feeling better, is my ability to think more clearly. I've heard musings on how sugar "kills brain cells", but is there any documentation on how excluding meat from your diet might also assist in how the brain functions? Just random curiousity.

Hmmm? I've read some stuff that suggests that eating a lot of sugar and refined carbohydrates can make you more sleepy and affect your blood sugar levels. I don't think that eating meat has anything to do with that but I do know that it takes your body a long time to digest meat and move it through the digestive system so that will waste precious energy.

I'll see if I can find out any more about this for you..

I've never heard anything about meat damaging brain cells but have you been under pressure or feeling stress? If it's memory you're worried about that could just be your body's way of telling you to slow down and relax.
