Any one Raw?

Today begins my 16th week raw. i went 14 weeks completely raw then for about 10 days i intermittently ate something cooked once a day. The past three days i've been all raw again. i've been keeping a raw diary as  i go to help keep me motivated. http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-sbfiftyandfa&msg=1910.1 & http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-sbfiftyandfa&msg=1920.1&ctx=128

Initially i lost about 20 lbs in the first 12 weeks, then sort of hit a plateau. I've experienced a number of health benefits which keep me motivated.

But it would be cool to be in touch with others who are raw too or who at least support the idea :) I've been looking around different diet boards and all but couldn't really find anyone which was really appropriate til i was refered here by 'vegetarian cooking'. Yeah :)

Last night i had salad and greek olives.

Actually yesterday was dh B-day. i picked zucchini and made zucchini cake and zucchini parmesean. i had a very small helping of the latter and a bigger helping of the former. i've been primairly raw for

We use some dairy products. i make yoghurt at home ( buy it when i need to ). we don't use eggs. My grandfather used to eat them raw-for breakfast drink them or something whole ( not beaten) he died of a stroke and had problems with his arteries.

When i was about ten i over heard adult talking a bout eggs and cholestrol and never ate them much even when i had chickens. Actually i was born vegetarian

I don't get much sun at all so I thought it might be a good idea to get in some egg yolks.

Your MIL garden sounds outrageous !!! Lucky you! (yeah i love raw asparagas too.)

Do You've been raw for a while haven't you? (guessing since you said your animals are for a couple yrs). i would think it would help with the insulin resistance. Do you have any adrenal gland /thryoid problems etc? i understand insulin resistance is tied to PCOS. Raw foods should definately help with weight control and blood sugar levels as they don't make you crave

Ok so you're fairly new at this. Try to stick with it for the remainder of the summer/fall at least until the weather gets cold and cooking seems more natural.
