Do you like to grill your veggies outside? Do you marinate? They were talking about that over on the vegetarian cooking board here... http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-fdvegetarian&msg=4092.1&ctx=0
I found an interesting recipe on iVillage for "grilled romaine with marinated cherry tomatoes and feta" http://www.ivillage.com/grilled-romaine-marinated-cherry-tomatoes-and-feta/3-r-189885 . I wonder if a vegan feta would work as well.

I have a nice grilling basket for veggies and I like to marinate in margarine, garlic, and other spices. I did really enjoy some foil-wrapped grilled veggies that were made with me in mind at a gathering I went to recently.

I like to grill zucchini & corn on the cob, even potatoes.

I like to steam my veggies on the grill (wrapped up in foil and drizzled with a little olive oil and herbs). And on occasion, I have grilled eggplant slices directly over the coals (again, drizzled with olive oil...).

We have grilled vegetables outdoors, but usually we prefer to roast them in the oven.

I agree, Amy. Before finding that recipe in the food section, I'd never have thought to grill lettuce either.

Olive oil and foil wrapping are so handy, aren't they :D?

Ah, yes, roasted veggies are way good. My kitchen heats up really bad with the oven on though so I usually use it sparingly in the summer. I have a vegetarian dinner cooking in the crock pot now and will put up a pot roast for my partner after the veggie soup is done.

grilled sweet potatoes? That sounds really good. How do you prepare them?

I slice them about a 1/4 inch and spray them with a little butter flavor Pam and grill them right on the grid about 25-30 minutes or until they are soft.
