Tough day here....

I'm not looking for sympathy (really!!), but just need to share. Today (April 18) marks our Jonathan's birthday. He was our middle son. He died on April 28 which was 10 days after his 10th birthday. Even after 15 years this is a tough time for our family and for some reason being so close to Easter makes it tougher.
Having experienced this loss, I am also feeling more acutely the pain of those parents who have lost children in the war. It is a pain.....a hole in the heart.....that NEVER goes away. A family sort of learns to live "around" it. I hope the war is slowing so that those losses are fewer and fewer. I ask for your prayers of strength for those families and for ours.
I have a busy Easter Sunday as you might expect. We have multiple services and special music with orchestra, adult choir and children's choir. We are singing one selection with the adult choir stretched down the side aisles within the congregation and another piece with me directing a children's choir from the balcony and the other director leading orchestra and adults from the front.....antiphonal style. It is a wonderful piece and our congregation will feel like they are in surroundsound! The music is truly glorious and I will lose myself in that!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Sooze

(((((Sooze)))))), you have my deepest sympathy. Children should never die before their parents. It's just not the way things are supposed to be and I don't think, if you live to be 100, the pain will ever really go away.
love,
eldri
PS. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JONATHAN!!
