week, but I learned a week that the house of a friend of mine burned to the ground. I drove up there yesterday to have a look. There was absolutely nothing left except some black remains of bedsprings, bathtubs etc. It was so strange to drive up her hill, turn the corner and then..nothing. They had no homeowners insurance and her dh had gotten laid off the week before. When it rains, it really pours sometimes, doesn't it? She is nearly my age...28 give or take a few years!...and now they are starting over with absolutely nothing. We all have our problems, but some people's problems really make the ones the rest of us have seem a little inconsequential.

OMG...I hope she has some family, friends or maybe her church to help them out. How devastating to lose everything and then no insurance on top of it. I feel so bad for them. Gabby

Poor people! I hope they have some family or good friends who can help them for a while. And they have each other...good relationship, I hope. That is an awful lot of bad stuff for them to endure. Has the Red Cross been there? If not let me know...my daughter will look into it.

Hugs

That's awful, Kat. Hope the local Red Cross was able to help them out with vital necessities. Well, there's one thing...when you ain't got much, you ain't got much to lose. At least they escaped with their lives. Did they find out what the cause of the fire was? Really a shame. What a heartache to go through.

Kat, that is so true. If we don't allow ourselves to get lost in our own sorrows. Looking around, we can always find things much worse then we even imagined at times. I think every once in a while we need a reminder of this.

As for the mouse hand being colder....well, ahhhh, hmmmmm......could be. lol

Oh Kat that is so sad! I am so sorry for your friend..seems thar is how things go

when on a down hill slide things seem to get worse for a while. I hope that they find some relief so that they do not have to earn everything they get.

Keeping them in my thoughts!

Hugs, Lor

Kat,

How sad! I can't imagine losing everything in the blink of an eye! As you and others have said, it certainly makes one stop to think about how grateful we should be for each and every day!! I do hope your friend will get help from the community.

Hugs,

Sooze

Kat, how awful. I can't imagine loosing everything. Why didn't they have insurance? Not that that would replace all the important things, but it sure would help with necessities. Will keep them in my prayers. Charlie
