Where is everyone? Do we need to get....

....party started to drag everyone into the playroom? Actually, everyone has probabably been as busy as me. Tis the season. Most of you know my spring routine. Making dirt castles in my gardens as much as I can. Seems to be an abundance of large, unknown weeds taking over this year. Is anyone missing their weeds? If so, they're here. I pull one and it has a family of 100 to take it's place. Getting very frustrating. As I "speak", I'm taking a break. I need to sit down here at my machine for a day or so just to read what all you've been up. But for now I have a new family of weeds seeking my attention. Will return later. Anyone that is lurking but not coming out of the shadows to post...I want to see you here! Now! Oh, and someone be sure to grab Bruce because we can't plan a party without his input. Hugs! Kay

You're right Sooze....reading and responding does take so much longer. I know I'm probably missing a lot of news with my scanning. I still say this is not a poster-friendly format! Ah well, guess we just have to get used to it because I'm sure they'll never go to the expense of reverting back to the old system. If I were a new poster to iVillage I think I can safely say I'd never stick with it.

Sorry Sooze, but my spring enthusiasm for gardening doesn't quite take me as far as pulling other's weeds. But thanks for the offer! LOL! Hugs! Kay

Tuesday Two's? I've missed that. Actually, I forget to scroll on down to the bottom of the screen where roll calls, etc. are. I'm never going to get used to this! If you spot Bruce, be sure to grab him by one of his tanned muscular arms and tell him he needs to entertain us. Hugs! Kay

Charlie! You racy, raunchy Minnesota Ms.! LOL! Maybe we should take a vote if we want Bruce's "input" or "output". I think Gabby is out scoping the neighbor looking for Bruce, so go ahead and pour a marguerita for me. Any chips and dips to go with that? Hugs! Kay

Ok, ok, I'm coming out!! of hiding, that is! LOL!! Good to see you back, Kay!! You've been missed like crazy! Glad to hear you're just busy with the garden. Don't you wish everything would grow like the weeds do?? We'd have tomatoes the size of basketballs! :D

Please pop back in more often, we need your equilibrium around here!! And more tales of the travels of Kay and Bob!

Many hugs, Pam

Lor, you're such a party animal. You're just ready to go at just the hint of a party, aren't you? When is your normal planting period in your little world? Just wondering if your growing season is longer or shorter then ours is here in the hills. I have lots and lots of outdoor work to do yet and I haven't even started planting stuff yet. Ah Spring, gotta love it. Hugs! Kay

I lurk also Bernie and seems like most the time the thought of working this new format is just too daunting, so I end up not posting or reading as much as I should. Lately been too busy to even lurk. Well, two yards to work in just means that much more exercise Bern. You like that idea, right? LOL! I couldn't do it. I barely make it through my own let alone doing someone elses. I've noticed my energy isn't quite what it used to be. Good luck with all that work with the shovel Bernie. Hugs! Kay

Aha! You're another one Pam that is just too easy when the word "party" is mentioned. Nice to hear I've been missed...thank you!

Well, tomatoes the size of basketballs would make weeding worthwhile. I still remember my great-grandmothers radishes in Iowa seemed to be the size of tomatoes. Of course, I was a kid then so everything seemed large...but, for some reason those radishes stuck in my memory cells. I'd love to have that humidity AND soil...just for a little while. We have low humidity and gumbo for dirt.

I'd love to return with my equilibrium, but I'm not bringing anything I can't pronounce! As for our travels....I know. I keep promising to return to that and haven't yet. Gotta do that because there are some very nice people I haven't chatted about spending time with yet. Hugs! Kay

How did you see my nails? Did you notice besides the dirt embedded there I've also broke and/or chipped practically every single nail? I've got to get over thinking wearing gloves takes away the gardening challenge in someway. Actually, I think I was a dirt farmer in a previous lifetime and just enjoy getting my hands in amoung the worms and their homes.

Well of course I'm in for a 160000 post board, however, I don't think I'll be jocking for position as board Queen. That always seemed to difficult to me. Requires actually getting out of bed or something.

Sounds as though you're moving right along in your gardening projects. You did say your name is Martha Stewart? You're out there where you have long growing seasons.....our's are about 4 1/2 months....if we're lucky. So, enjoy your gardening Missy! Hugs! Kay

Well, let's see. Ruthie isn't here; Bruce isn't here. What do you think may be the odds they're off playing together? She's so greedy when it comes to his attention! Zowzer! What, you've never made a dirt castle in your garden? That's what one does when one doesn't have enough sand in your soil to have it qualify as a sand castle. See? You're right, gardening is a hard workout and one has to really enjoy it to call it "gardening" instead of a "chore" and/or "drudgery". And now you know the difference Sara Smile! Aren't you glad I explained it to you? LOL! Hugs! Kay
