And as of right now things are going between stable and not so stable. The drs are very concerned and are doing everything that they can to get my dds blood pressure to drop, and to stop the protein from spilling into her urine etc, but seems that they are not winning this battle. There is risk not only to the baby but also to my dd, so they are doing all they can but they said that they do not want to risk my daughters life so if things do get worse the baby will have to be delivered. The baby is only 26 weeks and so the chances of survival are not the best, but seems that at the moment her heart rate shows her to be pretty healthy. Nikki has been given medicine to increase the development of the babies lungs, and the drs asked us to pray and hope that we can keep the baby in her tummy for a week or even better 2 as the chances of survival are much greater, and then we will hope to see baby get to 30 weeks and then after that anything is a blessing.

I wish I had more to say, but at this moment no news is good news.

I am so worried and drained as the last 3 days I have had not much more than a couple hours sleep and well as you can imagine the stress of this all is kinda wearing.

I will try to get on here tomorrow and let you all know if I hear anything new.

I think I will even shoot to make chat tomorrow morning.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and stuff... I know it helps!

Love you guys! Lor

Oh Lori...thanks sweetie for taking the time to post to us. This has got to be such a difficult time for the whole family. I will pray that the sweet baby can stay inside a bit longer to give the best possible chance at life and I pray for Nikki's health and strength as well. (((((LORI))))

Lor, thanks for letting us know what's going on. I hope and pray with all my heart that both of them will be ok! I know you're pooped, so get some rest and take care of you, so you can take care of them when the time comes. They're going to need a lot of TLC, I'm sure.

Love and BIG hugs!!! Pam

Dearest Lori....Let me tell you a little story. My dear friend, Terri, has a sister that had her baby at 22 weeks. It was quite a struggle, but she became the youngest and smallest baby EVER to survive. She made the medical books. That is a month younger than your dd's baby. I tell you this because I want you to know this can be done and I am hoping that maybe it can make you feel just a little bit better. Lori, My prayers and positive thoughts are with Nikki and the baby. I hope her guardian angel is staying with her and holding her hand. I wish I could give you a great big hug right now, but please know I am with you in my heart. Love and Hugs, Gabby
