This week-end went by too fast!

Yesterday was a total wipe-out...at least, I was wiped out. All I could do was sleep, pretty much all day. But today was better...got a bunch of yard work done, some more ivy pulled, a few things planted, some weeds pulled. I had a neighbor's dog over here while they were away for the week-end. I thought they were getting back early in the afternoon but they didn't get back until after dark. That means my dogs missed their run in the hills this week-end. Poor things.

I have resolved not to worry about those birds anymore. That's why I missed so much sleep this last week! I opened the window to the greenhouse this week-end and, as I should have known, they have moved out there. The parents quickly built a nest and are settled in it. the two youngsters don't seem to know how to do that and are huddled together on a shelf. I feel bad and tried to get them in last night but they wouldn't come. So I guess I'll let them work this out on their own. The window's open so they could come in if they wanted to.

Man, I'm still tired! Early to bed for me tonight, I think.

Those little birdies will be fine Mama Kat! They have a good life there with you and I'll bet they know it! Lucky little birdies!!

I had 2 wrens fly down my chimney into the woodstove a few years ago. They were beating themselves silly against the glass door for a few nimutes until I figured out what the heck that noise was! I opened the front door and the stove door and stood back. Pretty soon they figured it out and off they went. And once a hummingbird knocked itself out on the window so I carried it around in my shirt pocket until it woke up and was able to fly. We are such softies for these little creatures!

You're such a sweetie to help the birds so much. Like you said, they will figure it out and they know your window is open. Big Hugs, Gabby
