some who is distraught. I've noticed it in movies. When someone is told bad news, the first thing someone does it run for a glass of water. What is the water supposed to do? Give the person something to do? LOL.

I've hardly ever seen anyone drink it either. Just one of those off the wall questions I come up with.

HI Button

You know I never really thought about it. I have no idea why people do that.

I think when someone is feeling faint the people around are nervous and the

first smart one finds a way to leave the room so others can deal with the

immediate problem.

The one that always got me was when someone was having a baby and the request

for "get the water boiling" was always in the script. What happens if the baby

is born before the water boils. Are they going to wash their hands in the

boiling water, are they going to dunk the baby after he/she is born? I know

what you mean about silly questions.
