Akiva was born at 149 pm on April 30th, weighing in at 620 grams..we were told that was 1 1/2 lbs but it is actually 1 1/4 lbs. She is all there just very small. She is breathing pertty much on her own, but does have help if needed. We are to expect many ups and downs with her over the next few days, and of course she is no where near out of the woods yet. They figure she will be in the Special care unit for a few months yet.Nikki still has probelems with her BP but now the meds are helping her, when she was being medivaced to Vancouver her BP ws hovering around 205/110 and it never really did go down much and she was at the max for meds. The risk of her having seisur3es was too great and also the risk of a coma so for both Nikki and Akiva's sake they had to do the delivery!
I have a few pics, but they are not very good because the lights bother her and so they wanted most pics to be done without flash. Her feet are about the size of your end of your finger from tip to first joint.
Anyhow we just got home and we are so tired, but wanted to say I am one happy Grandma!
will be back tomorrow to add anything I probably forgot to tell!
