Cholesterol down 90 POINTS!

Got the lab report on my latest cholesterol numbers test and it was much better! Doctor was very pleased! I do still have to stay on Lipitor but am much encouraged.

My beginning total cholesterol numbers were 302 and as of now they are 212...down 90 points! The beginning triglyceride numbers were 490 and now they are 255. And last time they couldn't even do a VLDL cholesterol cal count because my triglyceride levels were too high, but now they are 51 (40 is normal). And the doctor was very happy that my HDL was 63, so I am seeing light at the end of the tunnel!

I don't have to go in for another checkup until the last of October, so I am going to continue staying on my food plan and TRY to incorporate more exercise into my life...

And the nurse at the office is going to let me stop by once a month to hop on the doctor's scale so I can keep an accurate record of my weight loss...my scale at home does not match hers! LOL! ( I like mine better, LOL!)

Anyway, at least now I don't feel like such a walking time bomb!

Char that is just wonderful. You are doing such a great job with the diet. I am betting when you go back in October you will be well in the normal range.

Keep up the good work

Good job Char! That Lipitor is good stuff. My dh & I finally had to admit he needed to go on it. As closely as I watch his diet and give him Omega oils, etc, it still wasn't making a big enuf improvement in his counts...which have been much like yours were. His has come down 75 points in 6wks. My sil is a doctor so we got all the info on these statin drugs for cholesterol from her. She says some docs believe they may even aide in preventing Alzheimer's...not enuf studies done yet to know for sure but looks that way. So guess this may really be a miracle drug. Hugs!

So PROUD of you, girlfriend!!! I know what a struggle it's been for you, but now you've gotten your reward!!! Good numbers, kiddo!! Keep it up!

Now, if you're going to celebrate, make it a nice piece of fresh fruit with a little yogurt dip! LOL!!!

GREAT news, hope mine is as good, see the MD next Tuesday and will see.

I actually do love oatmeal but eating that for breakfast for almost 5

months, every day, can get boring. Hope it helped a little, will let

you know next week.
