First off Nikki has enzymes in her urine so may have some liver damage.. and she is seeing spots in her vision... so they are keeping her in hospital one more night.

Akiva had a brain scan and no bleeding, she is off the photo synthesis light and her jaundice is taken care of. Now the bad news is they found she has a heart murmur and more than likely needs surgery. We will hear more tomorrow or the next few days.

I will keep you all informed as I hear from the kids, have a feeling that this is the start of many good news bad news nights.

I hate to do this but will not be here as much as I would like to be as I am trying to keep the phone lines open for the kids.

I am sorry to hear that you have Strep throat Grams.. not good at all but hopefully you will be bettter soon!

Gabby thinking of you , hope all went well and you are up and about in no time.

I know I have missed so much and I am sorry for that but have little time here right now!

Thanks to you all for keeping my head up, when I read your posts it sure does help!

Big hugs to you all! Lor

Lor, so glad for the mostly good news about Akiva!! Sounds like she's a survivor!! She has a long way to go, so be prepared for that roller coaster ride, sweetie. I'm sure she'll take a step backward for every few she takes forward. The technology available today is so amazing, I'm sure she'll catch up.

Sure hope they get Nikki straightened out, poor girl. She had a rough time of it! Please give her a big hug from dd and me!! And give yourself one too!!

Love and hugs, Pam

Whether you can make it here or not, Lori, you'll know that we are thinking of you all and that our prayers will be with that little one and her mom.

Lor, hang in there. We know much is going on there right now. Glad there are good reports on Akiva. Sorry, about the not so good. Time will tell all though.

Hope things clear up with Nikki soon. The wonderful thing is, given a chance the liver heals itself.

Isn't it amazing what medical science can do these days? I am sure they will do everything possible for baby and mom. Praying for lots of celebrations ahead Nana Lor for you and your loved ones.

I will miss you buy rejoice in knowing you are doing just what any mother would.

Bigs hugs (((Lor))),

Glad to hear Akiva's tests are showing good results. She's really giving it her all. I'm sure Nikki will be fine in no time, too.

((((Lor)))), you know we understand if you can't be here much. There's not one of us who doesn't empathize with you. You all are in our thoughts every day.

Many hugs,

Red

Lori I am hoping that Nikki is ok and that little Akiva will also be fine and not need the surgery but if she does that all will be ok for her.

Sending more prayers and angels your way. Don't worry about not being here at all you do what ever you have to do.

Love

Mary
