Phantom of the Opera today!!! We have a brand new Performing Arts Center in downtown Dayton, just opened last month. It's quite a beautiful structure, even has palm trees in the lobby. Phantom is playing there in June and July!!! Dd and I are going June 24th!!! Yippee!!!

Some improvement on the ds issue. He has promised to treat dd better, even asked her to go see XMen II with him, no conditions attached! Maybe he FINALLY got my message! The three of us had a nice supper together and he came back here with us and watched a little tv, even brought his feline babies with him. I did find out he has "intentions" toward my friend Erica, and that makes me a happy mom! AND, he agreed to read the Dr. Phil book I got him, but I'm reading it first!! LOL! Oh yeah! He also volunteered to spend a day next weekend helping me do things to get the condo on the market, moving blinds, putting up other ones, maybe putting up ceiling fans. So I'm hopeful. We'll see how things go. His old habit of berating dd will be a hard one for him to break.

I'm feeling a little better, much less bloating. I actually looked pregnant last night! Watch me run really fast the next time a doctor utters the word "barium"!!! LOL! Did see my doc today, the tests didn't show any blockage, so that's good, but still no answer about the pain in my side, so.....another CT scan, complete blood work, and maybe a consult with the surgeon who removed my gall bladder several years ago, to see if maybe this is adhesions from that surgery. (Works for me, he is absolutely gorgeous!!! I fell in love at first sight!! LOL!!) The good news is, nothing life threatening has shown up!!! Dd is VERY relieved. The thought of me being sick brings it all back for her and she gets panicky.

Ok, off to finish the attempted balancing of the checkbook. I've been very bad, haven't done it for two months! Ugh! So I guess I'll be up a while, huh? :D Have a nice evening ladies, and tell someone you love them!!

Hugs, Pam

We love YOU, Pam!

Dd and I saw Phantom in NYC and it was wonderful...but too loud. I think they had the sound system really turned up for some of those numbers which would have made them really powerful if I hadn't been cringing in my seat with my fingers in my ears. It's a great show, though. Glad to hear things are going better on the home front. You've had quite a time, first with dd and then with ds. Does that mean it's your turn now to get all knacky and hard to live with??? Good luck with the checkbook. I used to be really good at that stuff but mine is now so mixed up that I'm trying to write as few checks as possible for a couple of months to give it a chance to sort itself out. Have a good evening regardless.

I loved Phantom! That is the big thing I miss here. In Houston we had season row 11 seats to the Broadway series. It was my big Christmas gift each year. Made dh's shopping way too easy lol. We have a rep theater here and I may drag dh over in the next week or two to see their production of "Damn Yankees". I love "Whatever Lola Wants" lol Also you do know that Phantom is based on a true story (more or less). I've seen the Opera House in Paris. There really is or was the waterway under it...may have been the sewers of Paris. lol Been awhile and don't remember the story that well. Have a great time. Glad your ds is acting nicer. Hugs, BB

Glad to hear your tests are showing nothing serious. Yes, that would be too bad if you HAD to go see your gall bladder doc! LOL! Bet that's one appointment you won't miss!

Also glad to hear your DS is coming around. They just have a way of jerking us around, don't they? My youngest DD is doing a number on me right now, too....doesn't want to speak to me, cuz I told her I was disappointed in her for getting her tongue pierced. Well, I told her more than I was just disappointed...got a little surly with her. I won't go into that, let's just say, she's not talking to me right now.

Your performance center sounds cool. I was just thinking the other day that SO and I should see more plays here. There are a number of theaters here crying for audiences. Haven't been to one since we moved here.

Take care today,

Red

We saw that here, and I'd go again and again. As for your son,

we knew that if you just relaxed and gave him a few days and

went about it the right way, that he would start to change.

Don't know how long it will last, but at least that is

a great start.

love,

Cindy

p.s. Only 2 more weeks of sleeps til Vegas...cant wait

to meet you there!

Wow Pam that is wonderful!! I can see why you would be excited!

Good news that your ds has changed his ways... or trying to anyhow. I am sure it will be hard for him but will get easier as he goes along with it.

Have a great night!

Hugs, Lor
