to do, dd had her nails done today, a little rhinestone on each one! Very pretty! I'm off at 1 tomorrow so we can hit the road (hopefully!) about 2:30, 3:00 at the latest. It's about a three hour drive to Huntington, as long as I don't hit an island and blow out another tire! LOL! By the time dd gets to college, we'll know the way blindfolded! Her date goes to a private Catholic high school, and instead of couples going out to dinner beforehand, they have one big dinner for everyone. Sounds nice. The prom theme is Polynesian Sunset. Boy, could I use one of those right about now!!! :-D

Dd and her history teacher apologized to each other for the "misunderstanding". Seems the teacher thought dd was "milking" her dad's death, don't know how she missed the fact that dd had TWO surgeries!!! For cryin' out loud!!! Dd also got new notes from the doctors, and the attendance person is going to reclassify her absences. Progress. Only four more weeks of school after this one, next school year HAS to be better!

No word about the job, and the ad was back in the paper this Sunday. Waaahhhh!!! Oh, well, another "perfect" one will come up somewhere, right?

Finally got my much needed haircut yesterday, feels so much better! Dd's friend is going to do her hair at lunchtime tomorrow. I have to remember to buy a camera before I leave work, gotta get pics of the handsome couple tomorrow night! We're staying Saturday until after lunch then back home. I'm planning to catch up on some reading while the kids are dancing the night away!

Hugs to all!!! Pam

Sounds like a relaxing day, even the ride can be fun but be careful.

In case you need a good book, I am reading a great one by Barbara

Delinsky named An Accidental Woman. I can usually read a little at

a time but this one is hard to put down. Also anything by Mauve

Binchy if you have never read her, just recently found her and will

make it a point to read all I can get my hands on.

Enjoy the relaxation and tell dd to enjoy.

Boy, that takes the cake (that teacher)! I remember in 7th grade my Grandpa died. I loved him very much, and didn't go to school, of course, the day of his funeral.

The next day I went to school with a note from my Mom, and my science teacher said, "It doesn't take all day to bury somebody." Can you believe that!?!?!?! I can still hear and see him saying that to this day, and I've never forgiven him for it. So your DD's situation brings out some real emotion for me. Insensitive teachers!

Glad she's getting it all taken care of. Hope it keeps up. Seems like you're swimming against the current all the time with schools, doesn't it?
