Because 5 years ago my DM passed away on May 11th wich just happened to have been Mothers day that year also.So I have a hard time on that day. Then that same yr. in December I lost my dmil.So on Mothers day I have hard time to keep from crying, when everyone starts talking about their moms.My church makes a big deal over all the moms,so it is hard but I always make it through it.

Well wishing you all a great Mothers Day.Hope that you all have a great day how ever you spend it. Di

I know what you mean, Di. I lost my mom in '75, and mil in '83, and with no kids....well, it's not a fun day for me, either.

Hugs,

Jan

((((Di)))) My Dad passed away in 1995 the day after Mother's Day. When Father's Day rolled around, I went to church not even realizing that it was Father's Day and of course the whole service revolved around it. I couldn't make it through.

So, I give you my hugs, cuz I know what you're saying. I'll think about you tomorrow and my mom and my dad and yours, too.

Oh, Di, no wonder it's a rough day for you! I'm so sorry. My mom died almost 5 years ago, and my mil died just nine weeks later. It was tough on us, since dh and I were both only kids. Now that he's gone too, the gathering for holidays is very small, usually just the three of us, me and ds and dd. Guess I'll have to start pushing for marriage and some grandkids!!!

Take care of YOU tomorrow, and just enjoy having a restful day. Remember, your moms are still with you in spirit.

Hugs, Pam

Di, many hugs...I can see why Mother's Day is hard for you. Knock on wood..We have our Moms and I try to let them know how special they are. I know they are getting older and the time will come when they are not here. We are taking our Moms out for brunch and then cards. Remember the good things.

Hugs

RJ

I am sorry to hear that...I lost my Mom in '84 and my Dad in '95...yes, I miss them...but I make it a point to be happy for them and about them in their memory..not a day goes by that I don't think of them and/or mention them...but I try to make it a happy memory!...maybe you could tell me something great about your mom...here's something about mine:my mom always said "the ones who are hardest to love, need it the most"...she also made great sand castles!!!

Hugs,

Dutch
