Akiva is doing pretty good for now! She has been gaining weight and went from 620 grams to 520 then after her operation she was sedated so she had a chance to put some weight on so went to 670 but as she has ben moving around some and so it has dropped again to 620. That is ok though this is expected. The other day she pulled her Respiratory tube out, and they decided to leave it out and see how she does, but there was a little struggling to breathe so they reinserted it. The drs. are all pretty positive about things and seem to think that she is doing pretty good, but also on the same hand they say to there to be days where she will decline. I am working on just the positive for now though as if or when the time comes she is on a bad spell I will face it then.

We are going to see her this weekend and my other 2 daughters will be allowed to see Akiva if she is doing as well as she is now. SO I guess she is pretty much holding her own. this is a good thing... and a lot of it I believe with all my heart has come in part from all the prayers and thoughts and wishes for her. Everyone of you have been so very awesome through all this, and I really can not thank you enough for your support.

Now to make this even a longer post I should tell you about the coincidence (I really do not believe it is an coincidence, but others may). When Nikki was in the first hospital she had a room mate for half a day, another expecting mom, but Nikki had to be flown to Vancouver so they thought that would be it for seeing each other. Well not 2 days later this other girl was taken via ambulance over to Vancouver also, and they were put in rooms 2or 3 doors down from each other. Ok so Nikki has her baby very early(25.2 wks) and 2 days later this other girl has her baby also very early (24.5 wks), Nikkis baby had heart surgery , this ladies baby had heart surgery yet again 2 days later. Nikki has diabetes, as does the other woman, Nikki has a blood clotting disorder as does this other woman. It think there were other things similar there but the funniest thing is they lived only blocks away from each other and had not met until the hsopital. Oh also they have both given notice to their landowners that they are moving as of June 1st. Scary huh! Both babies are doing about the same, both in special needs unit. Both moms are recoving and are staying in the same housing unit near the hospital and have become very close, and even the husbands have become friends. Now who says its a big world huh!

Things are just meant to be and that I so believe in!

Hugs and thanks for asking.... hope I never over posted too much here.

Hugs, Lor

Lori you can never overpost news about the baby:) You are right, Nikki and the other woman were meant to meet. I believe there are no accidents in the universe. They need eachother now because they each understand what the other is going through. Keep us informed. Love, Bern

Lor, isn't that something! Actually, I think it is way more than a

coincidence. I think that God actually has a plan for both families

to be in each others lives for a time at least.

So interesting!!

love,

Cindy

p.s. still praying for Akiva

Lori,

Certainly no chance of overposting here! We all want to know about little Akiva. I am so glad that she seems to be doing well. I'm continuing to pray for her. Yes, I think those two mommies were meant to be together during this time. What a blessing for Nikki to have someone else who really understands what she is experiencing!

Hugs,

Sooze

Dear Lor,

It just would not ne nice to leave us here, searching for word on how Akiva is doing. For me, I look every single day to see if you left a message. If you went to long without doing so, I would worry.

So, speaking for all of us on-line grams (I don't think the others will mind), impossible to post to much or to often.

Doesn't seem like a co-winydink the lady and your dd met either. Maybe they are each others guiding angels. Does seem like a start of a life long friendship though.

Hugs,

Rain

Thanks for letting us know Lori. We would all be worried if you don't keep us updated. Does seem that Nikki has found a very special friend and they will be such good support for each other. Take care and have a wonderful weekend with your family. I hope everyone gets to see Akiva so she can feel all your love for her. Hugs

Lori you could never overpost about that little one we all are sending prayers her way. So great that the two roomates got back together. It is sometimes a very small world. It will be a big help to Nikki to have someone close that she can got to for support.

Love

Mary
