I haven't been home so much in such a long time w/o homework to do that I've been getting a lot done that I've been intending to do since I went back to school last Spring & started substitute teaching but haven't been able to get done (tho I did pull "A's" from all 3 classes again this semester - tho one is a squeaker w/everything else that's gone on). A lot of rearranging (& what requisite cleaning goes w/moving stuff that hasn't been touched in quite a long time). A good portion of the daycare stuff is now stored relatively out of the way in the boys basement shelving (for grandkids!). My sewing room for the most part is now moved out into the "garage-converted-to-playroom" w/the pool table - moved a loveseat/sleeper in there also & built another brick & board bookcase in the basement family room & now have all the books that have kind of collected this year off the floor (& organized) as well as out of the playroom. And the "sewing room" is now back to being a bedroom ready for the hospital bed which should be delivered tomorrow for MIL thru Hospice - even tho she can't officially be a client until her HMO processes her disenrollment at the end of the month so Medicare can take over. Still no pain, but she is sleeping a lot, tho she is sleeping well which she wasn't doing that much of at her house it sounded like. Got her in to see a local primary care physician Tuesday morning & going out about zapped her - hasn't used the walker since Friday - it's about all she can do to make it into and out of the wheelchair. Now I'm awaiting a crew of at least 3 HSer's to come in & CLEAN this weekend so the boy's buddies will be comfortable sleeping in their "basement zone", D27 & her DH will feel comfortable on the family room sleeper couch (we have cats - they don't!), & the guest bedroom will be ready for my folks visit. I'll do the oven & refrigerator while they do the rest of the house from bottom to top. I have definitely been using the spa this week before climbing into bed..

S16 left for his Senior trip at noon today so we won't see him til Midnite Sunday. Today I caught up w/grocery shopping-stocking as DH got home from work about 9am, tho I really haven't decided what the plan is for S1i6's graduation next week except it will be a spread here & not going out to dinner w/the 10-15 people we expect. Will pick up my folks at the Las Vegas airport Monday nite about midnite after the HS awards ceremony. Tuesday nite is Baccalaureate, Wednesday is a day of scheduled Senior doings at the HS & Thursday is graduation - both for S13 from the jr hi in the early afternoon & S16 from the HS at 8pm. Got MIL here, but don't think she'll be able to make it to the ceremonies.

Think I'll go have a piece of Lemon Meringue Pie & sit a spell - maybe zone into a movie.

You sure have been busy. You have a lot going on right now. Besure to take a minute (or longer) for yourself! Congrats on those A's!! Enjoy your pie and coffee!

Boy Joanne, you are a better woman than I am, I don't know if I could do all that without blowing a gasket somewhere. I raise my glass to you, girl. When fil became ill, I expected to have he and mil live here, but he went to a nursing home instead. That was good I guess because we have a little house and it would have been just a little too crouded. Of course we would have done it anyway if it was needed. The only thing was that their room would have been right next to ours, lol. I wish you lots of fun moments in the days ahead. BIG HUGS. ..Free

A glass of wine in the evening does wonders!!

Actually so far all is going pretty smoothly - as long as I don't think much beyond next week at a time. It's a good feeling to get things done after putting them off for sooo long --

I just realized last nite tho that w/MIL here rather than in Las Vegas I will probably miss the chance to get to meet everyone at the "big meet" in a couple weeks even tho we're sooo close. I'll be taking my folks back up to the airport the early morning of the 31st so maybe can get together w/some of the gals that Saturday morning before I gotta head back - tho don't want to leave MIL on her own for any great length of time either...

I think the Pineapple Pie recipe got me thinking about pie - I'm not usually a dessert eater - unless it's my occasional piece(s) of chocolate!

I try to take a few minutes a couple times a day to catch up w/the board doings at least even tho I don't post much - it helps to feel connected.

Glad you heard from your DS. Take care.

Hey, Jo, are you going to be coming up for the LasVegas get-together? Sounds like you're tremendously busy but even if you could make it up for a day, that would be great. There is a luau Thursday night and then many of the ladies are going to a show Friday night...and it sounds like quite a show! I hope you can come up. I would Love to see you again.
