all. He was having a really hard time Friday night because the next day was his son't birthday and he was going to have to miss it. He jsut hopped into the car at 11 that night and drove over. Got caught in a blizzard, then a really heavy rainstorm, then about 60 miles of intermeittent heavy fog. He's been working like crazy since he's been here too. We had talked about taking an old dead tree down so he brought his dad's chain saw. That tree wasn't too bad to do but then he decided to do one in the back that was leaning badly toward the house. That was tougher and without going into details, I'll have to say that he did it perfectly. He's really proud of himself and so am I. He's soaking in the tub right now and I'm counting the minutes until he gets out. I worked out in the yard all day, including helping with the trees and carrying the limbs and branches back into the forrest. I am pooped and everything on and in me is beginning to ache. Even my big toe hurts. I wonder what I did to it!

Kat, I so feel for your son. Would a summer visit be

possible at all?

Curious tho...what kind of legal rights does your son

have. What can he pursue. Was your grandson born

here?

I really hope that things get better for him.

((((Hugs))))

Cindy

My heart goes out to him and to you my friend! I'm so sorry you both couldn't be with your little one for his birthday. Sounds like some hard work for you 2, hope you got your soak in the tub also. See you soon! Hugs, Gabby

I can certainly identify with that drive your ds had! Sounds an awful lot like my drive from Portland to dd's house at Christams time! What a nightmare! Also at night and in an unfamiliar rental car so I was one stressed out grandma at the end of that!

I'd say come on over & use my jacuzzi...except it's not in yet! Maybe next week?

I agree with Cindy...some legal advice may be in order here for ds. It just seems like that whole thing was engineered to take the dgs away from his father. Wish I were a lawyer!! I'd take them on just for the sheer satisfaction! %$@&*!

Many hugs for ds & his mom!

Kat what a shame that your ds could not see his son on his birthday. I am glad he helped you get those trees down though. Hope those long soaks in the tub helped you both.

Love and Hugs

Ah Kat I bet it was hard on him to miss such a big event in his babys life. I just wish he was able to be there for his son! Hey glad that he cut the trees down for you, bet it helped him keep his mind off things and stuff and also lets him feel good that he got to help you out too!

Sorry to hear you are so sore..wonder what you did? Feel better soon ok!

Hugs, Lor

Hugs to both you and your ds...That sounds sooooo hard. Positive thoughts coming his way!

I know about those stiff acheing muscles. Dh and I did planting on Saturday...Lots and lots of bending, squating, reaching...OMG...Sunday morning I felt like I had been hit by a Mac Truck..I hurt from my neck down! Did just a little bit of planting on Sunday..very little bending, squating, and reaching...I knew if I did too much two days in a row I would be immobilized on Monday am....Still sore today but movin'...lol

Hugs
