I posted about how dh and I did planting on Saturday...well I woke up Sunday am and I HURT from my neck on down...OMG....felt like a mac truck body slammed me during the night! Could hardly wait for some ibphropen(lousy spelling) and a HOT shower! We still had more planting to do. We went to the nursery again and then dh potted my pots...I was afraid if I overdid it two days in a row I would be immobilized come Monday am. Well still sore this morning but I was movin'...lol...It rained all day today so was spared any gardening this evening...lol

It is really pathetic how little it takes to make all those unused muscles complain...and loudly!

Hugs from a slow movin' RJ

Ouch! I know what you mean, RJ. Saturday before last, we had some big storms come through and they knocked out our power. With no power, there's no sump pump, and no sump pump means a wet basement. We were lucky we've been in a drought, so the ground could handle a lot of water, but it was still coming in, and we had to do something. Being resourceful, we cut the top off a Downey bottle, and dh sat on the floor, next to the pit and scooped out the water, dumping it into a bucket. My job was to carry the bucket to the laundry tub and empty it......while he filled another bucket. We did this for about 4 hours before we were both so tired we could hardly move. We finally decided if we flood, we flood, and would deal with it later. By luck, I guess we did just enough, as Sunday morning, we were still dry, and dh had enough time to run to the hardware store and buy a gas powered generator. He got it turned on and the pump plugged in, and it was like a river in front of our house! The water had filled all the drain tiles, and was close to overflowing, so it was just in the nick of time.

Sunday, neither of us could move! LOL We just sat around and moaned at each other.

Boy, RJ, all that "potting", better watch out for the pot police! LOL!! Yeah, the muscles just don't appreciate all our hard work, do they? But just think of the beautiful rewards when your yard looks so nice. Ok, did that make your body feel better? Yup, I figured it wouldn't work! Dang!

Take it easy and rest those muscles a bit!

Hope that soreness is history by now RJ. I did gardening for 3 days straight and took yesterday off...too exhausted! May do some today...not sure yet.

Have a good day. Hugs.
