Hi Gabby and all. Yes, I'm still here. My pc has been acting up w/some really weird stuff I've never seen before, and I'm ready to get rid of it.

Anyway, I had to laugh at the test to see if your house is comfy or clutter. Do some people not know the difference? lol. Then again, what's clutter to some might be comforting to another.

Someone mentioned papers all over in posting to Gabby's post. That is a big problem for me. Junk mail should be outlawed!! Why is this a problem? It just happens, lol.

My condo does not have any storage at all...none. Something I have know for a long time, but did you know that clutter can cause depression or anxiety? It's too much mental stimulation. I find that when the clutter gets way out of control, my anxiety level is higher.

B/c of my disability, I cannot do as much as I would like to do, and it takes me soooo long to do one thing, then by the time one thing is complete, I have let 5 other things go to you know what..lol. Yesterday I decided to do a good cleaning in the master bath room. It took me 5 hours! Between having to sit and take breaks, and I was still exhausted and had to lay down after it was 98% done.

I saw on the news that there is a book called "Housekeeping 101" that is supposed to be full of fast and easy tips and trick of the trade. Anyone ever heard of this book?

I wonder if you can hire someone to come in, do a good cleaning once, then I could just maintain it? Has anyone done this before when it has just become overwhelming?

Ok, it's a holiday weekend and who's thinking about housework, lol. Have a great weekend everyone. Love yas, Terry

good morning,

read your post,, interesting as i maintain clutter all

the time...only i call it my nic-nacs...lol...i am a head-housekeeper

in a huge apartment complex...u could tell u many stories of things i

have found and brought home...my husband and kids always tell me to

stop bringing stuff home....i hardly ever throw much out...but as

far as u getting help to clean there are many services that can

help u out and at a resonable price...look up some cleaning services

in the yellow pages...they can do a basic clean of your house so u

dont have to spend forever doing it yourself....have them come out

every week or every two weeks ...whatever u need...good luck...

HI Button

Sorry you have been having puter problems. You can hire someone to come in and clean for you just once. Look for a cleaning service like Merry Maids.

Hope you have a good holiday.

Hugs

Mary

I would love to be able to have someone come in and just take over the house. The problem I can see, though, with having someone declutter and clean the place is that I would probably never be able to find anything again. Shoot, I have trouble finding things when I'M the one that puts them away! But if I could turn one job over to someone else every week...like the bathroom or kitchen or dusting and vacuuming...anything! that would be so nice. Just one less thing to have to think about doing. I definitely agree about the effects of clutter. NOT a good feeling. Good luck with yours.

Hi there Button! You mean there are short-cuts for housework? Let me know if you find them, please. My house is a mess right now, but I just haven't had the energy since the surgery. Starting to feel better now and hopefully be more energetic. Always good to see your name on the board...HUGS!
