Boy! Felt more like Labor Day

than Memorial Day here today. My big goal for the day was to mow the back yard. That doesn't sound like much but it was a bit of an undertaking. The back yard is divided into two parts...inside the fence and outside the fence. Since the dogs stay inside the fence, there is always a good deal of cleaning up that has to be done before one walks around there. Outside the fence consists of a narrow strip between the fence and either the forest on one side and two garden areas (actually, areas with the potential of becoming gardens some day...hopefully) on the other two sides. It is my intention to make a pathway outside the fence some day and, of course, since it's going to be a pathway, I don't usually do much with it in the meantime. Which means the grass was pretty high..and thick...and a little damp. Not only did I actually mow that (pause for applause) I even CLIPPED around the outer edge of the fence which I have NEVER done before so you can imagine what that grass was like. I've left it like that so the dogs wouldn't get the ides that there really wasn't that much separating them from being on the outside of the fence which is where they would rather be. To that end, I did leave the high grass along the inside of the fence as camouflage. Now I'm hot and sweaty and I've got blisters. Time for a bath? Silly question. Hope you all had a good day!

I agree with you, Kat! Seems like we spent a great part of the weekend working! Dh put bricks around the tree and made a flower bed...Got that planted, also transplanted a hosta that was in the wrong place...Went shopping on Saturday and brick shopping on Sunday..Ds and his dgf came for supper last night...It was great to visit.

The 'fun' thing we did is went biking for about an hour and a half and then had ice cream...YUM!

Rest up...Hugs

Kat, just relax until flight time; you will need

your energy for later this week, lol. I leave

early Wednesday, so between this hour and then,

I am not cooking or doing anything one would

call work, lol.

HUGS

Cindy

You are one of the hardest working women I know. I have said it before, but I wish I had half your energy. See you soon! Gabby

Boy Kat, what a day you had. Bill just got a neat self perpelling lawn mower that even I can start and use. I did just a couple of weeks ago when Bill was down in the back. All better now and the job goes back to him. Even wth the self perpelled, it was work for me. I think I'll stay with my gardening and leaving the grass to him.
