Okay, I know BB has already reported. I'm going to skip over the IV drips and motorcycles. I will say that we had originally planned to join the Little Darlins Topless Show but after some reflection, decided that baring our feet was more than enough.
It was great, you guys. We need to do this again in a different part of the country. It was just so nice seeing people, either again or for the first time. I got there on Thurdsay and headed for the Imperial. Met Gabby and Cappy there, then Mary, Debbie, Free (she has such cute hats!) and Sooze. I passed a lady in the hall that looked of familiar. We sort of eyed each other as I walked by. Then she said "Kat?" It turned out to be Lori but I hadn't been sure because she is so much prettier than in her pictures! Bobbi and Cindy turned up at the luau that night. Can you imagine what it was like getting all these ladies together? Man! You could hear them halfway down the hall! It was great.
The next day was a bad one for me. There was a mix-up on times and a lot of cell phones that didn't work. By the time i got to their hotel, everyone was gone and I never did catch up with them. I was feeling pretty abandoned and alone and by mid-afternoon was fragile enough to have decided to just go home. Fortunately, things got cleared up...or else my hormone levels reasserted themselves. I missed the dinner with everyone Friday night because I went over to visit my sister who is moving to California next week. But she and I drove in this morning to go see the dolphins and the tigers at the Mirage with the Group, then on to the buffet there where, I for one, made a total pig of myself. Whay do we feel we have to do that at buffets? Bernie and Mac were at the hotel when I got there, Jaci and her daughter joined us at the dolphins and Pam and her son at the buffet. After that we all waddled back to the hotel room where I did hugs all around and headed off to the airport.
It was just so much fun seeing everyone together. And so loud. We really need to do this again...maybe every year, a different area each time to give as many people as possible a chance to meet. Sooze and Debbie can sing for us and Bobbie can do our press releases.
The only really bad thing about the trip was the temperature...around 100 each day. I'm still sweating just at the thought of it! Oh, wait...I think that was just a hot flash. I didn't have any of those there...or if I did, they were well camouflaged by the heat anyway.
I'll be looking forward to seeing what the others have to say!
