Spent yesterday cleaning the porch....
| Sat, 06-07-2003 - 1:20pm |
Worked my head off yesterday scrubbing down all the woodwork and screened area on our screened porch. I usually do that after the pollen dies down. The screens get this nice layer of powdery yellow on them. I scrubbed furniture and cushions etc. Even gave my plants that are out there a bath. Only problem is that today is now chilly and rainy...not exactly porch sitting weather and tomorrow I'll be on a bus for much of the day. Hmmmmm....maybe Monday I can enjoy my porch?? My kitties are out there now. They love it.
We had a nice picnic breakfast in the mountains this morning. This is a semi-annual event that my SS class does and we slipped it in this morning before the rains got here. We wore jeans and jackets because of the temps, but it was fun.
Tomorrow we leave right after church to take our Youth Choir to sing at Annual Conference. Our Conference Retreat Center is at Lake Junaluska in NC. Its an honor for them to be asked to sing there, but we have about a 2 hour bus trip ....activities in the afternoon, service in the evening (thats when they will sing) and then 2 hour trip back. We'll be back around 11:30 pm. I have a feeling with 60 young people it is not going to be a "calm" ride!! LOL!
Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday.

Hope you have fun on that trip. No, it doesn't sound like a calm sort of trip at all!

I guess you are glad now that the screens are all clean even if you don't get to enjoy them right away when the next sunny days come along you will be glad.
Have fun and keep that smile going!

I read in your other post about your mud room idea. Sounds great! I keep a towel inside my back door for the dog's feet.....does that count??? Don't work too hard now, you are just recovering from the concrete blocks!!!!
