A little of this and that

As RJ said, it's been raining off and on for a couple of days here. Can't do much outside, but my new rose bushes are looking lovely, can't wait to get some flowers. Everything is so green, and my wild flowers are starting to bloom. Not sure if I'll make chat tonight. Dil and dgd came into town last night (from CA), they stayed with her sister (dil's nephew's graduation today), but they'll be staying with us tonight. Then I take dil to the airport at 7:00 am and dgd will be spending a month with us. Ds is so excited, but he won't see her til tomorrow afternoon, went away for the weekend with the boy scouts.

Ds will be graduating from 8th grade on Monday. One of those bittersweet moments. I'm excited to see him going to a new school, but I can feel the tears already since he's been at this school since kindergarten. What a change for all of us. Our summer is going to be so busy, I feel like it's over before it's even begun. Anyone else feel that way? OH well, I'll just have to enjoy it as it comes. Charlie

Congrats to ds on his graduation!! I am going to bet he loves his new school as long as there is a good Drama department. Have fun with dgd, a whole month, how fun for all of you. Hugs, Gabby

Charlie you just enjoy the dgd and have a good weekend. Your ds graduation will be a bittersweet moment but believe me it will someday be high school and that is an even bigger milestone. Yes sometimes time seems to fly by and this summer is really going at breakneck speed for me right now.

Love ya

Mary

Enjoy one day at a time, charlie. Now that I'm home from Las Vegas, I plan to do the same. Enjoy your time with your dgd.

This summer will be a special one for your ds. The summer before he grows up a bit. And then, watch out Mamma, high school is the time for seeing how far he can push your buttons, lol. Even tho I am not kidding, we all live thru it, after all, you already have experienced it with your older ds. BIG HUGS. ..Free

That's really neat that your ds has stayed at the same school all this time. It doesn't seem like that happens alot anymore. At my 10th class reunion there were about 15 of us from my class who went all the way from first to 12th together and we had our pics taken together. That was fun.

Hope the rains stop soon,

Red

Yes indeed. Graduations, weddings, and the like always bring a tear or two. Changes like that can be difficult. Sometimes it's hard to see them grow up. You (and he) will do just fine.

A month with dgd sounds great. Enjoy your time with her.

Thanks, Gabby. I'm not sure the drama department is as good as where he's been performing (he may still get to go back there for acting?), but he is taking theater and I'm sure he'll have fun. Charlie

Thanks Mary, looks like the relatives are already "fighting" over getting dgd to stay with them, lol. Her mom has about 9 brothers and sisters and most are still in the area, so if she gets bored, she has plenty of places to visit, not to mention some friends she will stay with for a few days. But we're planning some things too, so she'll be busy. Now you slow down and be sure to enjoy time with your friends up north. Charlie
