Not that I'm counting but for all us ladies, I don't think that number is out of line, do you?

I took the dogs up to our favorite logging road this week-end. It was a nice day so I decided to take a book along so that I could relax by the stream and read while they did their little "get totally wet and muddy" thing. I read until I only had about 12 pages to go and decided to leave them for home...something to really look forward to that night when I wanted something to read in bed. Unfortunately, that night, when I finally was going to let myself have the luxury of finishing this extremely interesting book, I couldn't find it! Anywhere! After searching the house and the car twice, I finally came to the conclusion that I must have put it on top of the car while I was getting the dogs in, then forgot about it and drove off with it still up there. As soon as I got up this morning, I headed back up there and sure enough, there was the poor thing splattered all over the road. I was, however, able to retrieve it and finally read those last pages while drinking a cup of chai.

I worry about myself sometimes!

Kat, I've left many things on the car roof but the best thing was the cat! She was sleeping up there in the shade when I had to take kids to piano lessons. As usual we were running late,so we leapt in and drove away! Eight blocks later and several hair raising turns with a screeching stop, she looked down over the window at me and just said "mew"! I gently held her all the way home! I wonder why she doesn't like car rides any more?!

Menopause moments are becoming more frequent here! LOL

Take care, Kathie

Kat,

I am not to sure that qualifies as a meno moment. Saw in the news more then once where a young parent placed baby on the roof and drove off.

Have left a few things on the roof myself. My purse, which thankfully I remembered and low and behold was still there. A couple of other things also. Thank the Lord, never my child tho.

So, just a slight touch of forgetfulness in the scurry of getting the muddy, wet dogs into the car. Understandable, kids will do that to yah also. LOL

Hugs,

Rain

LOL, Kathie. I have this vision of your cat, spreadeagled on the roof, desperately holding on with every claw, a wild look in her eyes.

No, I don't suppose cars would be her favorite thing now!

Well Kat it could have been worse you could have lost it for good and found that was the only copy around so you could not have finished it.

That is almost like leaving your kids behind....LOL I have heard that can happen.

Hope you are enjoying your chai tea!

Hugs.. Lor

Kat, I've done things like that all my adult life so I can't blame it on menopause.

Its just me:) Glad you found the book. Hugs, Bern
