Crack! Rumble! Boom! Storming here,

lots of thunder and lightning, raining like crazy. The weatherman says this may go on for two days, thanks to a system coming all the way from Missouri. Yuck! I will NEVER get my flowers in the ground! I love to play in the dirt, but not the mud!! LOL!

Routine day here, counseling and then work. Ds picked me up and we went car hunting, but no luck, his credit is destroyed. I don't know how he's going to solve this problem, but I can't afford to bail him out yet again. The big problem is that his boss will fire him Friday if he doesn't have transportation by then, can't sell insurance to people if you can't get to them! We're doing the best we can sharing my van, but I guess that's not good enough for the boss. I feel so bad for ds, he finally sees the "light" of needing to get more education, but can't afford it. He has a huge crater to dig himself out of, I'm here for support but that's all I can do at this point.

Dd and her friend are out roller skating. I think dd's "maybe boyfriend" went too. This might be the one good thing to come out of this past school year! I haven't met him yet, but dd says he's a good student and a star on the tennis team. Can't be all bad! Especially if he gets her to exercise!! LOL!

Well, gotta get stuff picked up for the carpet cleaners who are coming tomorrow. I could fall asleep right now, but looks like I'll be up another hour or so. Yawn!! Hope you all have a good night!

Hugs, Pam

It sounds like he's got himslef into a pickle, Pam, but it's good, at least, that he's learning these things so young. He's still got time to turn things around. I've been trying to get my son to go to one of the schools and talk with someone about the feasibility of enrolling...especially regarding financial aid available for the older student. I'd like to see him in school so much and would do anything I can to help but, Like you, I'm limited when it comes to helping much with the $$$. I hope things work out as far as his job goes. I'll be thinking of him this week. Take care.

Oh no Pam, hope that the storm pass by quickly and you can get out and do your flowers!

Tough lesson being learned by your son, too bad it is looking so grim for him, but I agree that to be there to just listen is about all you can do! I hope that he does not get fired over this all!

Good stuff for our dd, and bet that guys will keep her doign good things like exercising!

Take care and try to stay dry!

hugs, Lor

Pam,

I know where you're coming from with ds--got that happening here too! Ds's ex-wife sure screwed up his credit as well. He also needs and wants to go back to school but the money thing is also the problem. We can only lend support and listen to him.

It helps to know we're in the same boat--at least a bit. That we're not the only ones struggling. Glad dd's "sort-of" boyfriend gets her out and going---helps them too. Keep dry and keep in touch! Hugs, Kathie

Pam, I hope you can find a car that he can afford. As far as going to school, if he is serious, he should check out different scholarships and I'm not sure of the rules or the age cutoffs, but you should check to see if he can collect anything from social security from your dh. I know sometimes children can collect on their parents SS, but I don't know all the rules. Might be something for you to check out. Hang in there. Charlie
