There's just something special about having a little old lady come up to you after her visit with the doctor, give you a hug, tell you that you are a beautiful person...but that you really ought to "reduce" a little bit.

Boy, if she hadn't been a little old lady...#&*$%)%(&^-*!

LOL, Kat! Well, there's no one like a little old lady to put you in your place with nothing to say! Won't it be great when we get to the point when we can get away with saying whatever we want?

Oh Kat...Can't you wait to be old so you say the first thing that comes to mind....My mil (who is NOT heavy) saw her sister this weekend and the first thing out of sister's mouth was Ethel(my mil) you've really put on the pounds! We all looked at her with our mouths hanging open...I thought her daughter was going to die of embarassment. She's 81...Gotta take it with a grain of salt!

Hugs my friend!

That must have been my mother you encountered Kat! She's great at stroking one cheek while slapping the other! Well, I would just forget the remark about "reducing" and enjoy the compliment regarding your nursing skills. Hugs! Ka

LOL Kat, I agree with Kay, ignore that last part of that "compliment". But I'll tell you, I think that's better than going to a short pudgy doctor and having him tell you (after you've gained 4 pounds in a year) that you should really be more careful, do you know what would happen if you gained 4 pounds a year for 10 years? I was told that about 20 years ago, needless to say, I've exercised and watched my weight ever since, BUT I also did not go back to that doctor, lol. Charlie

Oh, Kat!! That is TOO funny!!! I can just picture it! But I think that little old lady needs to have her eyesight checked, now that I've met you I can't imagine where you could "reduce"!!! LOL!!! Just pat her on the head and send her to the billing clerk and tell her to charge Mrs. Bigmouth double!!

Kat,

First of all you of all people do not need to reduce!! At least she recognized your good care!

My mother has begun to say things like this and I am the one left standing there with a goofy look on my face. After all, what can you say? She would never have acted this way years ago. I wonder what it is that makes one so "free" with comments at a certain point?? It worries me....I don't want to be saying the things she says!!!

Hugs,

Sooze

Well you know Kast she was really just talking about your height, and maybe she has been shrinking some herself she just thought you grew taller.

Don't you just love these older people! Tell you what they think right off!

Hugs, Lor

Kay, remember here, her eye sight isn't so good anymore most likely. LOL I don't recall seeing a lb's you could spare when we met.

Another way to look at it also, my mother called the nurses at the nursing home a bunch of dumb bimbos. Yelled it down the hall at them more then once. Now, would would you rather be looked at as having a lb or 2 to much or a dumb bimbo? LOL

My mother was a nurse also. Her mind was there until the very end and many times she had to tell them what needed to be done. So, guess in a way she was accurate. Geeze, my mom was a pistol. Hee Hee

Rain

Kat--

I think that could have been my great-aunt or auntie or whoever else still lives in Oregon! They're all pistols so you could have met any one of them! Ignore the comment tho'and keep the compliment!

I'll probably be like that too when I get older! Scary thought!

Hugs,

Kathie
