Hi Paula! I welcomed you under your first post, I'm Pam from Ohio. Trust me, we ALL know what you mean!! LOL! I was lucky, I guess, didn't start to fall apart until I turned 50, but seems like every week another part goes haywire! LOL! You'll find lots of us are in the same boat, just have to keep rowing!

Hang in there, and we'll be here for you.

Hugs, Pam

Hi Paula. I don't think I saw your original post. I went back to try to find it but could not. With the way these boards are set up, it's hard to find anything.

Anyway, I want to welcome you to the board. I'm Kaci and I live in southeastern Wisconsin. I can't remember at what age everything started to fall apart, but I know that it's been happening. I remember that age 45 was a very difficult year for me because that's the age my mom was when she died. The whole year I thought I was going too. Well, I'm well past that now and I'm still around. I guess when you get to a certain age (and it's different for each one) things start to happen. I guess it's one of those "grin & bear it" type of things. Good luck with your tests and removals. Hope to see you often - this is a good place to vent and visit. Take care..... kaci

Paula,

The simple answer to your question is YES!!! LOL!! Sorry about that, but it does seem like things begin to fall apart at least by 50! You have come to the right place though and welcome!

I'm Sooze, age 53, live in Tennessee. Dh and I have been married 33 years in August and have two sons, ages 27 and 22. Ds 27 is married and lives about 20 minutes away. He and his wife are both CPAs. No grandchildren yet, but I hope so some day! Ds 22 just graduated from college and began his new job this week. Dh and I share the house with a big black dog and 2 fat cats!

I work part-time as a church music director. We're glad you found us!!

Welcome!

Sooze

hi and welcome Paula! I think everything does seem to fall apart all at once, I don't think it has to do with that magic number 45 but seems to be that time we start to notice things a little more. I hope that your ultrasound goes well and that they do not find anything wrong. Sometimes getting a little older seems like not such a good idea, guess that is why so many refuse to age past 39 just many birthdays after but still the same age. I do know one thing though that coming here seems to make the most of things seem not quite as bad after venting or chatting it up with the girls.

Glad that you found us!

Hugs, Lor

Paula,

I'm Kathie from Wyoming. I'm 47--my "falling apart" started before I was 45 but seems to have leveled off for now. I try to keep a positive attitude---and double check all my meds! LOL Since I have 2 teenagers still at home, my life is still in that crazy stage from them. I do try to pay attention to my body changes and just go with the flow since that's all I can do!

Welcome to the board---as has been said before--great ladies and perfect to vent or whatever!

Kathie

Nah Paula, we start falling apart way earlier, at least I did:) The minute I had my first kid it was downhill from there. Nice to meet you. I'm Bernie from PA. Welcome to the board. This is the best bunch of ladies you will find anywhere.

I don't think everything falls apart at 45. For me it was every 5 years. A little at 30 then a little more at 35 and so on. Now at 50 I am wondering what else can happen. When my oldest turned 30, she asked me the same thing. I told her to just wait and see!

Good luck with your tests and hang in there.

Can't remember if I welcomed you before (the memory is the first to go I think, lol). Glad you found a place where you can talk to others going thru the same thing. I think that feeling you're having will come and go. Sometimes I feel soooo old, then I remind myself I'm only 48 and look aruond at alot of my "older" friends. I hope all the tests trun out fine and you start to feel better. Charlie
